Reviewing (mostly) every game (or DLC) in my library, part 316: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ (7/10) LipTrip My Boss Is My Heat Suppressant?! (what a name!) is a fast, flirtatious VN with polished production values, classic Omegaverse tropes, and a surprising amount of heart beneath the title. It’s not particularly deep or long, but it does what it sets out to do with style, and if you’re in the mood for something spicy but soft-edged, it delivers. (And excuse my playing time; I play a lot of Deck games in offline mode.) 💋 Pros: [*]Strong character designs and art direction The first thing that’ll likely grab you is the clean, appealing anime art style. Characters are attractive and expressive, the CGs are lovingly drawn, and the UI is sleek and intuitive. There’s attention to detail in the way characters shift expressions, hold body language, and interact during key moments. It’s stylish without being overdesigned, and fits the genre well. [*]The main couple actually has chemistry Workplace romance can be tricky to balance, especially in short-form media, but LipTrip manages to sell the tension and affection between the protagonist and their boss. The dialogue is a little heightened (as expected in Omegaverse media), but the emotional beats land. Their dynamic is playful, sometimes bordering on cringey-flirty, but it has a softness to it that makes the payoff feel earned. [*]Concise but satisfying storytelling. For a game that can be completed in under two hours, the plot is surprisingly well-paced. There’s a clear beginning, middle, and end, with rising tension, a conflict, and resolution. [*]A solid amount of polish and accessibility features. Fast-forward, auto-skip, save/load, CG gallery—it’s all here and cleanly implemented. The menus are responsive and snappy, and the game performs perfectly. There are no typos or bugs, and the translation (if you’re playing in English) reads smoothly. 🎀 Cons: [*]Extremely short runtime! Even by VN standards, LipTrip is brief. Depending on your reading speed, it could be over in 45 minutes. It ends just when the relationship is getting started! [*]Limited interactivity, almost kinetic. There’s very little in the way of player choice. You’re essentially watching a linear story play out with minimal input. This isn’t a problem if you know what you’re getting into, but if you’re expecting branching routes, deep decisions, or even light stat-building—you won’t find it here. [*]Worldbuilding is more suggested than explored. The Omegaverse elements are present—heats, scents, suppressants—but the world itself isn’t fleshed out much beyond the basics. If you’re looking for lore, societal commentary, or unique twists on the trope, this stays pretty surface-level. It’s more about vibes than depth.

Just your friendly neighborhood Himejoshi lesbian here leaving her .02 cents! Okay so I'll start with what I liked about the game... Ok so I am unironically a major fan of Omegaverse, and I feel like compared to yaoi counterparts, we are greatly lacking in numbers in this department for yuri... So imagine my surprise when I spot a YURI OMEGAVERSE VN?!? Is my gay ass dreaming?! No... I wasn't dreaming! So of course I immediately downloaded the game. As I started to play I found myself really admiring the art, characters, premise, music... I was greatly pleased with those factors and the romance was super cute. I also love me some spicy scenes, so I was all about it. Even without a patch, you don't miss much compared to with one. There is "nudity," but just bare breasts. Pretty G rated spiciness. Very enjoyable G rated spiciness. Now... here's where I have issues with the game... It was TOO SHORT. Not only was it too short, choices didn't really matter. Kinetic VNs are a thing, so I can let go of that sin... but not only did it end too soon and have limited impact on choices, the end was SO ABRUPT! Not trying to spoil anybody here, but Chizu talks a lot about struggling with her urges as an Alpha, but I wondered by the end if she's a stone top? I know some people are into stone tops, so no judgment at all, but I don't really relate to that sort of dynamic. Basically the game felt like a long one-shot. I enjoyed it more than disliked it, so I give it a recommended. 3/5 stars

This is the first game I’ve purchased.. Seeing LipTrip break away from the typical "wholesome and cute" visual novels is refreshing. The A/B/O ( Omegaverse ) trope is often shied away from in VNs, making it feel more unique. Story : 7/10 The story is pretty short and straightforward, leading to one clear outcome. The ending felt pretty abrupt, like "Really? That's it??". I kind of wish there was more to the story instead of ending like that. Would've been nice to see a few more ups and downs, but most misunderstandings were quickly resolved. When it comes to the characters, not much is said about their backgrounds. Just a few mentions of their pasts when they were younger towards the end. Still, the dynamic between the two is great! You can clearly see they're meant for each other. I loved the cute, vulnerable moments towards the end when they finally confessed their feelings. Visuals : 10/10 The CG art is AMAZING! While playing, I’d often pause the scene while playing just to admire it. I could easily stare at it for hours. Would love to see the 18+ patch but my antivirus software flagged a virus on the file.. Hopefully it gets fixed. Music : 10/10 The game features two amazing soundtracks, one at the start and one at the end, that contrast each other amazingly. The song during the credits has a softer touch compared to the intense intro. ( Both are bangers ) There are also a few background music tracks throughout the game that fits each scene perfectly. The voice acting really suits each character, and the emotions are portrayed perfectly. It makes the game feel more immersive. Extra : The game introduces the A/B/O concept gradually, making it easy for anyone unfamiliar with it to follow along. There’s also a "tips" page that breaks down each term with simple definitions, so it’s super easy to understand. What I disliked : The UI is pretty easy to use overall, but there's no option to hide it during CG scenes when I want to take a screenshot. Instead, I had to return to the title screen to access the gallery, which felt a bit inconvenient.. Another problem I ran into was being unable to delete previous quick save slots. Although there's a delete button, it didn't actually work when I tried. ( Guess they're stuck there forever now,, ) Overall rating : 8/10 Freaky.

howd even anyone finish this in 2hrs??? I was stuck every single time there's a scene (in a good way). Savored every line in that game. If you guys are a simpleton like myself who literally gets butterflies in their stomach easily then this is definitely the VN for you. I'm a simp for the art style and while the plot could use more work especially in developing the bond between the characters I enjoyed the game pretty well. Wish I could play more games like this and hopefully they're longer with more complex situation between the characters. They could've dragged out the relationship more and maybe a smidgen of jealousy maybe (or maybe that's just me) since it's an omegaverse VN I was hoping for it to have a hint of possessiveness from either characters but their relationship was resolved so quickly it felt rushed and I just wish there was "more" you know. but anyway it's all good, the voice acting was immaculate (I feel blessed) I loved it. Would recommen.

I am perplexed. On one hand, the concept of an omegaverse being explored on the yuri side of things is always a treat. It literally isn't done enough, and frankly has a lot of potential for both a passionate yet instinctual romance and the domestic lovey dovey kind. On the other hand, LipTrip is a kinetic visual novel that falls very short in terms of length and exploration. Like I got to the end of it and was baffled that it just ends there. LIKE? LIKE? No pregnancy, dating life, bad endings, or even more graphic sex scenes? It's certainly one thing to not make an interesting story, but to have one that falls very short on a concept. A concept that isn't done often, priced fairly high for it's run time is leaving me in ruins here. I certainly wouldn't recommended LipTrip compared to a few other visual novels, but the concept and characters do have a hold on me that the other VNs don't. It's entirely a game that fulfills my preferences, and one I really hope they can make better either by remaking it with more paths or expanding the story through DLC. As the story goes, the actual lore and explanation of what an omegaverse is, is handled quite well. It's not lingered on too much, and given just enough time to at least capitalize on one aspect of it. The two main characters have proper chemistry and the VAs did an excellent job voicing their characters. Visually the backgrounds are properly some of the best i've seen in visual novels lending itself to feel more like a photo rather than a simple backdrop. Even the extras are given enough time that it doesn't feel like it's just the two main characters throughout the game, but rather a lived world. This all sorta of accumulates to me wondering why it felt so rushed at the end. While we certainly did get a proper resolution to the current happenings, it does leave room for a lot more than just what we got. With how well the game is produced I certainly want to see more of it, but it's a hard thing to recommended for both being omegaverse and fairly short in length. When it comes down to it though, I legitimately just want more.
