It's Dead Cells, but you're a phantom summoner, and it's much easier / more approachable for people who have less time or good reflexes. Pros: +It's very easy to pick up and play. Controls feel responsive and I enjoy the summons altering your movement. +Cute art style, if you like Square Enix or chibi anime, this is for you. +You can beat it in a very reasonable amount of time. The runs themselves may feel kind of long, but beating the game is simple. +The sheer amount of summons you can get and your customization of them is a strong point. Cons: -The level design is extremely repetitive and boring. Simple flat platforms everywhere, and the rooms are memorable for the wrong reasons. You're going to see the same layouts often, and the platforming challenges do not break it up enough. -Story is weak, even with the nice character designs. -It doesn't do enough new to stand out in a pretty crowded genre nowadays. Astral Ascent is also this game, but better. It's mechanically functional, but unoriginal. Overall, 7/10. You could do both better and worse than this game, and I enjoyed my time with it!
This game felt like a simple and easy roguelite platformer to me. So if you want to try a game like that, he you go. I died a few times, or got really close, and I felt like a dumba** or I got to cocky. The run upgrades are pretty powerful, so if you have trouble, you will 100% win eventually.
