It's fine. Fun, even. The concept is great, the characters are funny, the art is nice. But it feels like there's a real disconnect within the gameplay. On one hand, everything is a lot. Things are on fire and/or exploding most of the time. You'll stack so many abilities that you no longer recognise yourself or your surroundings. It's goofy and cartoonish. On the other, your health is a precious resource and you need to be careful. Even with assist mode on, I felt like I was being slowly whittled down by explosions I didn't know were coming or enemies attacking me with no charge-up/starting a parry before my attack lands. Food drops aren't too common, so I found myself using almost all my cash on food in shops which still would leave me below max health. This could be a skill issue, and might not stop you enjoying the game - but it's something to note. If you can get past that, the rest of the game is great.

Warning: if you worked at tech startups, this is going to give some flashbacks. God, what a good condemnation of tech startup culture. Charming characters, excellent writing, fun game. I'm not good at games that require you to be good at them, so bless the devs for the accessibility settings. It kept the game fun and approachable.

Highly entertaining, not much of a rogue-lite, more of a brawler. Incredible effort, great art and fun story. The gameplay is annoying at best. The rooms are cluttered, there are explosions everywhere and the perks have only minor variations. By the end, I had enough that I never want to see this game again. Still recommend since I played through the whole game and had fun for the first few hours at least.
