I usually find visual novels pretty boring, but I really loved this one. The story is short but it never gets boring. Two years ago, I went through a really bad depression. I was in such a dark place that I didn't want to live anymore. It's been two years now. I'm doing much better, but I still feel the effects of those days from time to time. When you finish the game, you unlock the Explore mode for the good ending. The things the main character said in that mode reminded me so much of those hard times and how I got through them. Honestly, if the main character was real, I would just want to give them a big hug.
Looking Up I See Only A Ceiling é um jogo muito bom e consegue mostrar, de forma bem sensível, como a depressão e a ansiedade podem paralisar uma pessoa. Mesmo para quem não passa por isso, o jogo dá uma noção de como esses sentimentos podem ser. Para platinar, é necessário ter a DLC. O que, sinceramente, é ok. Ela é bem barata e na minha opinião, até melhor que o jogo base. Porém… prepare-se para possíveis problemas. A minha DLC bugou, e eu precisei jogar o jogo do zero umas 7 vezes até conseguir coletar todos os calendários. Isso acabou tornando a experiência bem massante e cansativa. Mesmo assim, eu indico o jogo. É uma experiência interessante, só recomendo talvez esperar por correções se você quiser ir atrás da platina.
Playing this game after finishing a set of 8 back-to-back exams with no gaps in between hits different... No kidding, I broke down in tears in the middle of that absolutely stressful exam week. I wish I had a purple haired femboy cheer me up during then... Update: I cleared all 8 of those papers!! Have faith in yourself!!!
