Reminds me a little of Rimworld and dwarf fortress, with a little of it's own unique perspective with the focus on medieval family and nobility management. A really great game that I am not at all regretting purchasing.

I like the market aspect of this game. You can really micromanage if you want to or let everyone figure it out themselves (and the market has worked well in my play throughs at least). I got into this game maybe a year ago, and coming back now many of the bugs I was dealing with before have been addressed, so that's nice. There is a lot of content and the information screens are much improved (love the graph view for resource demand/supply), but it does generally feel a bit unpolished. I hope it'll continue to improve. Updates seem to be rolling out at a slow and steady pace.

This game is good, it's about production lines and economies so you need to play it from that perspective. You're managing and planning a market based economy, if you're not putting restrictions on how some goods can be brought and sold you're going to have a bad time. From reading the bad reviews I think maybe the people who don't like this game approach it like a typical colony sim and are possibly missing the point. I agree with criticisms of the art style but I think the team are adding modding so those are minor cosmetic issues that'll be able to be fixed by the community. My PC is good (although 3/4 years old) but performance is fine, it sometimes degrades a little when you're playing with experimental map sizes but then again, they're experimental. This is a severely underrated product made by a good team and I hope this inspires a new genre tbh. Editing to add: This game is not comparable to Clanfolk or Rimworld, I love both those games and I love this for entirely different reasons. Reviews making these comparisons are missing the point/objective of the game. If I played this expecting a similar experience to the aforementioned games I would be confused and disappointed. The comparisons are made because it's a colony/town and the best way to present that as a game designer is from a top down view. That's where the comparisons end.

it's one of those game i feel neither positive or negative about. i respect it but i have a really hard time with it - very complex and too much micromanagement. almost too much so.

Fun little game that is easy to get sucked into. Not super crunchy or difficult, but requires more planning than a chill zone-out game. Worth the price for sure!
