TL DR; It's Banished but with terraforming, and cheap. If you're searching for a city builder game with a good $ value aaand if you've already mastered couple of prior games of the same genre, well, take a look. I got this very game and, plus, Life is Feudal: Your own, as a bundle for $2.53 on a sale. I'd say that came out helluva great bargain considering 80+ hrs I've put into it. You see, I'm a nerd for strategies, simulations and city builders and I LOOOVE grinding from the very start. Guess what?! This game had fulfilled it's expectation that I've had for it. Although it is not the best example of the said genre I couldn't bare myself not to recommend the title, it would've been very unfair of me. Now, as for the game itself... Once again, it it Banished but with little extra perks, such as: terraforming, FPV, raiders, calamities and a bit better medieval feeling with slightly better graphics and UI. The game offers a decent amount of grinding from the beginning and requires a heck of a patience from the player. As the campaign moves on, the grinding becomes less of an issue and requires player to pause for micromanagement from time to time. The events throughout the campaign speed up by geometric progression as it becomes quite pacey through the mid-game. Game contents: You can build houses of different levels from shacks to huge boarding houses, there're farms, animal husbandry, orchards, markets, ports, mules to transport the goods around, barns & warehouses for stockpiling the resources, fishing & hunting, carpentries, blacksmith's, kilns & woodcutters, etc. And then there're castle structures such as stone walls and towers and ♥♥♥♥ for, basically, no obvious reason. I mean, there're, practically, no third party invaders who periodically invade your settlement, however, building the castle might be nice for aesthetics tho. The game mechanic itself is decently challenging and, now as I've already played for 80+ hrs, it's become repetitive and boring at some point. Time to move on a newer pasture. P.S. The game also has utterly shameful optimization. Unless you have a decent PC build, it will play with very low FPS. Other city-builder games I've played run amazingly smoothly compared to LiF. Ultimately, I'd give this game a decent/firm 7/10 rating overall. Gameplay: 5/10 Fun: 7/10 $ value per hour: 10/10
