Do you hate your friends? Then this is the game for you. Or them. I'm not your dad. Imagine Final Destination. All you have to do is walk down the street, but farting kills you. So does crossing the street without waiting. Once I realized I was bound to get run over... I also realized this game is perfect. It seems beatable, but you'll have to learn all of it's coniving little ploys. A pipe? Death. Van? Definitely death. Garbage bin? Extra death. And don't even try the apartment building. I walked 2 steps and died on my very first run. 10/10, didn't rage, but damn it did I laugh.

Make Good Choices is a weird ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. It starts off looking like a rage game designed only to make you punch your table repeatedly, almost like those old "Cat Mario" or "I Wanna Be The Guy" type of games, remember those? Everything looks like it might kill you for no reason, you're scared of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pipes and trying to dodge falling ACs and exploding scooters, and after a few attempts I admit was ready to give up. But then I sort of zoomed out and started thinking: the layout of the game is always different, but sometimes dangerous objects just disappear, so even if it all changes, there must be a correct path. That's when I found the little consistencies: pipes only explode if they're the circular type, poles only fall if they have a cone in front of them, things like scooters and bins will always explode but they have a relatively small area of effect. And then it hit me: this game is a puzzle. I then started looking closer at each obstacle and the safe areas started showing themselves. It started off as just blind luck, but I started applying logic to it and it became interesting. After a while, I was zooming through the first areas and started seeing the chaotic streets as a maze, with a hidden correct path I had to analyze my way through to figure out. Kinda like playing a turn based game, trying to figure out the absolute best move for that turn. But it's also a sort of horror game, too. You're walking on tiptoes looking absolutely everywhere for things that might end your run, filled with paranoia, hoping you didn't leave anything behind. It's great. That said, the first map is a bit short. I definetly expected it to last a little longer, but for how cheap this is, I'm fine with it being a short experience. Just expected a bit more. That's the first map, the second map is a bit different. It follows the same formula, the "tiles" are consistent but there are some new obstacles and new consistencies to look for. Cars can spawn turned off so they won't explode and some doors on the street have dudes that shoot you if you get too close. It's not bad, and the first area gets easy pretty quickly, but it does have a big flaw, which is the final area of the map. After going through a big row of possibly exploding cars, some barrels get randomly tossed on the street and you need to make your way around them, not really difficult. But what really ♥♥♥♥♥ it all up is that right after those barrels, a chase sequence starts and you're required to do the last part of the level while being pursued by an enemy that almost matches your running speed. Now, while the game isn't meant to be played fast, after a while you do get into a rhythm where identifying threats becomes easy and you can blitz through areas without much trouble. Still not that bad. The REAL issue is that the exit is pretty much hidden away so you gotta trial and error your way through that area to find where it is, which easily cost me like 20-30 minutes just TRYING to figure out where to go. I eventually found it and the map was over, but that exit should be 200% more obvious. So overall, pretty fun game, really nice concept. Can be a bit of a rage game at first, but patience is very rewarding. Probably a 7/10 if you wanna complete the second map as well, the first map is a solid 8.

Fun little game, took me just over an hour to complete the first map, but I'm not that bright. It's frustrating at first but once you learn the signs it's fun to replay the randomised path each time. And there's another map to play as a reward for completely the game. If you liked games like Ten Bells and The Exit 8, this is in a similar vein.
