There ain't much to say so I'll keep it brief. This game is an 8/10. It loses a single point for grabs not being a universal mechanic (which takes some getting used to if you play a lot of beat-em-ups) and for lacking major replay value. I've unlocked the entire Cosmic Matrix and leveled up the characters I wanted to play the most in only about 10 hours, which is a great value for the price, however I'm kinda praying we get something post-launch akin to the Mr. X Nightmare DLC for Streets of Rage 4, which has kept me playing that game somewhat consistently across the 3 platforms I own it on. If there's anything that Tribute & Dotemu gotta get on quickly, it's more characters. WHERE ARE ANY MEMBERS OF THE CLASSIC FANTASTIC FOUR, GUYS? (Also, more X-Men would be nice.) Please buy this game. Thanks.
Review after 100% completion The game itself is very good just like other Dotemu games. Howerver it's short ( 15 missions + 1 tutorial mission), i completed the game in 2.3 hours (140 minutes), there're 15 characters. i felt that it was a bit undercooked, because there are no modes to expand the journey, there're only Campaign and Arcade modes. ---------- Edits after having maxed all Heroes: -Every hero has their own unique fighting style, which is very good. -But this game REALLY needs at least 5 more FREE levels (or DLC) to be 9/10 game -Adding a world map (like TMNT or SoR4) would be a nice QoL addition since the current one is plain. ---------- very enjoyable 7/10
The game is super fun, but is VERY short! if you're fast enough and not watching all the cameos and references you can beat it with friends in an hour (and a half?). NEEDS more content! More characters! more DLCs!!! More achievements. No Arcade complete achievement is sad :( TMNT is way better though :)
