The game was really good got me to finish it all the way to the end of the game. Howver not yet 'complete' the game untill all the achievement is obtained. Honestly i have doubts with finishing the game with bad sense of direction but manage to do so somewhow. Furthermore, i'm not quite sure if i'm the only one that have to deal with the constant crash of the game, but i digress, just have to be mentally challenge and patience to do manual save often. Overall: The game is very details and well-versed with it's storyline from the beginning to the end, and i couldn't ask for more for something like this. Not to mention the mechanics and small details like apperance, attire, and the surrounding stays as well is quite fascinating for an dungeon crawler.
A fun dungeon crawler with high challenge and huge dungeons to explore, but the gameplay isn't balanced at all. For 90% of the game combat is all about boosting Attack and Agility to act before the enemy and casting the move Force Wave with multiple characters to attack whole parties of random encounters, or casting the multi-hit Rush skills along with attack/defense debuffs to quickly kill bosses. The PC port also has numerous bugs. There are small visual bugs like the wrong character portrait being displayed and dungeon objects not disappearing when collected. There are also gamebreaking bugs like timed doors sometimes forgetting their state if you save and load while they're open, barring progress, and a memory leak that inevitably causes the game to crash the longer you explore the dungeons. The game is incredibly fun if you can forgive the bugs. I played with Taskmanager open on a second monitor so I could watch how much memory it was using and remember to save and restart the game when it got too high, but you could get the same effect by saving often and not playing for more than a few hours. You could also choose to play the remake of this game that you get for free with the sequel, but that has it's own pros and cons; with new story content because it's less a remake and more an alternate continuity, and also the dungeons are heavily abridged to less than 1/2 the size in the original. Though some may see that as an improvement.
