Masterplan Tycoon is a minimalistic RTS Single player PvQ (Player vs Quests). You place buildings to make things so that you can make other buildings to make new things that can satisfy quest requirements. There is no time limit, no enemies, no bosses. Just you vs the space constraints of the world you were given and the buildings you are making. The music is okay for what you're doing. I normally set it to 10% volume for this kind of music and for this game. Gameplay is somewhat fun if you're into these kinds of games. It is extremely minimalistic, and you should very much ignore some parts of the trailer, as none of the game is in 3D or that the pathing you can do in game is that curvy. And yes, while it is easy to connect building to building, the difficulty is mostly the way you plan out your buildings and where you put them. There is not much story to this game. It's just mostly, people need things, and you gotta help them get it somehow. I did enjoy the game overall and it is fun in its own way. And yes, I did leave part of the game on while doing other things so it can catch up on resources, but I do think that it is part of planning something out anyway to have time to go eat or get other things done while the game catches up on resources you need to continue. The game will be slow, but only if you're not willing to optimize your buildings as you go. Playing on the fastest game speed is recommended. There is a lot of things in this game that I wish I knew before I started a long time ago (Gameplay strats ahead): * Buildings are one way. They do not rotate. This means that all routes are forced to go from the rIght side of the building to the left side of any other connectable building and they do not bend or twists in a way where they can freely be routed (Routes must go right or right adjacent). Routes cannot go through other buildings or its own building. * All buildings do not give you any information on how the environment will effect it when trying to place it. The efficiency of that building only apparently shows whenever you are moving it. This allows for better production of whatever it is you're trying to make that requires the environment for its sources. (Quarry, Fisherman, Wells, Farms, etc). This also allows you to see and limit the amount of routes going through those resources, as they decrease the efficiency of the building. * Pillars are effectively useless when you learn that Storage buildings are infinitely better. Pillars are small, sure, but they have a very limited way of transport and can handle only 1 resource at a time during transfers. Storage buildings however, can transport, store, and give out products to multiple buildings. Only use Pillars if you need to path a single build, weirdly. * Storage buildings are the best way to transport far away items to far away buildings. Not only that, it is extremely effective in making sure all your buildings have what they need. The storage building also eliminates long routes anywhere and since storage buildings are not limited, you can shape your specialty buildings in 3 to 5 rows and 4 columns connected to a single storage in the middle and maybe one after. This speeds up production immensely and somewhat saves you the most space, as somehow routes can only transport one product at a time while in use and routes eat up valuable space on the map. Doing this also allows you to concentrate a group of buildings that gather from sources to be routed to a single storage building instead of having it directly feed to a production building. Building a storage unit at the "in and out" of a different map is also the best way to transport items between maps as well. Just forget pillars all together, it isn't worth the routing and speed.

Masterplan Tycoon Overview *Masterplan Tycoon* is a minimalistic strategy and management game that focuses on the art of resource logistics and planning. With its clean visuals and focus on optimization, the game invites players to build efficient systems that make resource management feel both challenging and rewarding. Gameplay The core gameplay revolves around creating a seamless flow of resources between nodes. Each system requires precise planning and experimentation, leading to a satisfying loop of trial, error, and success. However, the simplicity might deter players looking for more variety in mechanics or aesthetics. Graphics The game's minimalist design complements its core mechanics. While the lack of detailed visuals might not appeal to everyone, the clean interface ensures clarity and focus on logistics. Sound A calming ambient soundtrack accompanies your planning efforts, making the experience meditative. The sound effects are subtle and unobtrusive, enhancing the gameplay rather than distracting from it. Customization Customization is limited due to the minimalist nature of the game, but it allows for flexibility in how players organize their resource networks. The challenge lies in adapting designs to meet efficiency goals. Replayability The game thrives on replayability for players who enjoy optimizing systems. However, the lack of diverse objectives and visuals might limit long-term engagement. Criticism - Repetitive mechanics: While engaging, the gameplay can feel repetitive after extended sessions. - Limited visual appeal: The minimalist approach may not resonate with everyone. - Lack of narrative: A story or progression system could add depth to the experience. Funny Notes - “Finally, a game where spreadsheets would be jealous of my organizational skills.” - “My flowcharts have flowcharts now.” - “Who knew connecting dots could feel this stressful and satisfying at the same time?” Rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) *"Masterplan Tycoon is a logistical dream for fans of optimization, but its simplicity might leave others yearning for more complexity or variety."*

Really enjoyed this game and the way resources are moved around the different maps. The game itself feels more like a puzzle where you have to build a little machine to solve everything. The only thing I would change about this game is to have a better overview for how much of each resource I am using per whatever unit amount of time. Having this as an aggregate and then seeing a building's maintenance cost before placing would have helped a lot in those moment where I had to track down the resource that I was short on. All in all, highly recommend.

really cool. starts getting laggy after finishing mountain. QOL changes I'd love to see - overall production/consumption per minute stats for every resource visible when you hover over them in storage - a way to highlight blocks, sometimes it takes forever to find some of them (skill issue) - faster way to join blocks with storage, maybe with shift+drag? - missions should be easier to spot, maybe with a different color than the storage idk if i didnt notice but is there a way to deselect a block? so far ive been clicking right click then exiting the menu
