It's kinda fun, gets boring kind of quickly after you have figured it out. They don't seem to be maintaining the game anymore and it's not the best UI. It has a steep learning curve and i feel that the AI companies ramp up too quickly but overall the game is prettty decent, I have logged over 400hrs playing it so i cannot say i hadn't enjoyed it.
28 hours in, and loving it. You can actually see the parts on the screen moving about. Not all other car manufacture games do that. Cool that the game developer has youtube videos explaining things about the game. Bought the game in 2026 even though it was released in 2019, so I get to see all the requests users asked for and when I'm playing the game I see so much of it implemented. Factorio is not the first thing that comes to mind when I play this game, though I have that game. Efficiency is a big part of the game. The opposing AI players aren't 'visible' to you, but you do get to see what techs they are researching. The way the game plays out, you are supposed to work on efficiency and cost effectiveness before car features, if you want to get ahead of the AI and be profitable. There are loans if you run out of money - it seems you can have up to 4 at a time. I think earlier there was no loan option at all, which was one of the areas the developer showed he was listening to the community. So many nice info graphs and charts, but not overwhelmingly too many. Very meaningful. You can import parts or make them yourself - the game charts make it easy to see that. So much time and thoughtfulness seem to be part of the game design. Sometimes I like fast action like FPS games as Deeprock Galactic, or Helldivers 2, but a game like this has enough interaction so that I can listen to Bible lectures while I play. At nearly 30 hours, I have done lots of game restarts, moreso because of my preferences, and sometimes bankruptcy in the game. There is a map editor mode. Some games feel 'punishing' for making mistakes. I think this one has a good balance of risk and reward. There is a research tree with 3 sections. Features, efficiency, and car models. There is also marketing to get more customers to want to buy your vechicles. Vehicle color doesn't change sales, but it adds a nice touch. Steam workshop works with this game for mods, which is a definite plus. I saw this game on Steam for a few years before deciding to give it a 'go'. Glad I did.
Tricky one to review. The underlying game is actually very good and the early-mid gameplay loop is excellent with upgrades to the equipment, research and so on. Where the game fails is in the mid-late part, the UI is too clunky to handle that much info on the screen, upgrades require effectively a total retooling of the production line and there is no easy way to do it especially if you are splitting it into parallel parts to improve throughput. It is a shame the UI clutter was not resolved over time. This would have taken this game from great to excellent. The beginning of the game is highly optimised, later game is not. If you wonder why you can't get things done well in the game, all you need to remember is it is not your problem. Despite all that, I find it hard not to recommend this game for the sheer ambition it showed.
I actually really like the core of this game — it’s a fun, satisfying management sim that really scratches that optimization itch. But it honestly feels abandoned. There are still bugs, missing polish, and parts of the game that just don’t make sense. If it ever got proper updates and fixes, it could be amazing.
