I was a bit skeptical about buying this game, but before I went in blind and purchased it, I read some of the negative reviews. Most of them seemed like weak criticisms. I’ve put in a good few hours into the game so far, and it definitely has that “The Forest" vibe, which is what interested me in the first place. The atmosphere is creepy and immersive. In my opinion, playing co-op can take some of the fear out of it, so I think the game is best experienced solo. That said, if you enjoy laughing and getting scared with friends, co-op is still a great option. The game is definitely challenging. I’m not sure how some players are speed running and beating it in under 30 minutes, but I’m not that type of player. Performance has been smooth for me. I saw some early reviews mentioning stuttering, but I’m sure a few updates have addressed those issues. As for people calling it “boring” or a “snooze fest,” I’m not sure what they’re expecting from this type of game. The trailer and store description pretty much tell you exactly what you’re getting into. I’ve regretted a few cheap game purchases before, but this isn’t one of them. If I had to rate it on a scale of 1–10, I’d give it a solid 7/10.

Fun game, interesting mechanics, good for coop for sure, but the monster stealing the cart wheels is debilitating and annoying after the first few times. If it was dramatically reduced or there was a way to prevent it or calm him down, the game would feel much better. It sucks getting deep into a run and feeling like you have to completely restart just because you cant do anything without your cart being completely useless until you use more crafting materials (just for him to take those too) or you sit around doing nothing waiting for him to run back past you (sometimes 4x times) Other than that, game is fun, can be scary too.

The spiders are the worst part of the game by far and are everywhere. EDIT: I skipped past all the tutorials and found the enemies like spiders kept targeting me because of noise EDIT 2: The hogs are the worst part of this game by far and are everywhere

This is the first game i ever felt like writing a review on, i wasn't part of the group of people waiting for this game to release, i randomly came across it while doom scrolling then instantly bought it, i love the concept alone of running away from freaky scary monster things with four people on top of a crafty/survival made it ever the more fun, i as well absolutely loved the different biomes progressively getting harder while the player as well getting stronger, i feel as if sometimes certain monsters hit boxes are a little weird to hit but that wasn't that big of a deal, i wish the gun held more ammo and the ammo was a little easier to find, it was also a little annoying how a lot of the creatures could completely dump the wagon but i didn't mind to much having to protect the wagon a little, i dont know if this is the finished product id love to see updates on this game whether it be big updates like map expansion for the maze or that map that was on the wendigos back, but overall these bot's talking about how "it's not worth" or "dont waste your money" they're all just bot behavior lol, definitely haven't played a game this unique before it's a really fun little game to play with someone, i would recommend 10/10 would love to see more Edit: would also would love to see mods, whether it be steam workshop or nexus
