Im playing on the steam deck and so far the only issue i have is that it glitches sometimes when im on the Anvil and about to strike the items sweet spot. Everything else on this game is just the kind of game i was looking for so thank you so much for making this game. Amazing job.

Sleeping DOES NOT save the game even though it says saving when you sleep. Lost several hours of playtime because I made this mistake. You gotta hit escape and actually save the game to keep your progress.

Trying to review more of the games that I play- especially those that I enjoy. I bought this on sale, but would have enjoyed it for the full price. The world graphics were the only downside and I experienced only a handful of bugs (one of which I only had to save and restart to fix). The gameplay loop is fun, as you mine for the resources you need and then craft the items for the heroes to use, as well as to sell in your shop. The dwarf voice is fun and never got old to me. Glad I bought this one and I look forward to its progress in development.

I've spent roughly 10ish hours or so as of writing this review and have done majority of what is currently available in the game as of right now which you have access to the Castle, Village, Hero's Hall, and the Mines. The game play loop is decently fun but am a bit disappointed by a few things that will hopefully get worked/tweaked going forward. But first things first. TLDR: Buyer Beware as the game is in Early Access and unless you enjoy a game where you can casually craft some weapons and armor with a rather relaxing gameplay loop, I would hold off on getting this game right now. I said I would recommend this game to those who like the bare bones that are there currently. Otherwise I'd put this game on follow/wishlist to just keep checking in as more stuff gets added. It has a lot of potential and am excited to see where this one goes and looking forward to see what the devs end up adding to this game and see what feedback they end up heeding. PROS: -Art style is very cartoony and gives off that fantasy vibes from older type of games -The process of trying to smith weapons and armor and selling the to customers is a pretty fun concept and am looking forward to seeing how it progresses going forward. -Relatively cheap having bought it for just under $10 on sale and the actual price I think is around $11 not on sale as of right now. (Wouldn't recommend buying this game for more then $10 right now) -The tutorial is pretty straight forward and helps get you situated in your role as the new blacksmith. -Equpping your heroes that you've hired to go out on jobs for you to bring back various materials and schematics to unlock new weapons and armor is pretty fun. Doubly so when you can send a group of them into dungeons for loot. -What little voice acting there is can be quite fun and gives some personality to the dwarf character you're playing. -Teleporting feature is fantastic for the most part as it seems pretty straight forward and isn't too cumbersome to get the hang of thankfully. (Would suggest being able to access the map at all teleport locations and have the instant teleport on exit be a quicktravel option to the castle or something.) -The Arena, Battle Ground, Forest, and Dock aren't currently accessible but sounds like they're going to be implemented in the near future in the coming months. -Beautiful map art CONS: -Selling weapons and armor late game isn't as rewarding as early game. Since the pricing for weapons and armors that have rare/epic/legendary aren't exactly up to part, especially the legendary pricing. I've seen legendary pieces sell for a couple hundred to a few hundred gold, the same price as a rare or epic. -Forging the weapons and armor at first feels fun but then you realize the white "sweet spot" marker tends to blend into the heated item too much and isn't always obvious as to where you need to hit given how much it blends into the heated item. -When forging multiple pieces required to craft a weapon, if both pieces are Rare/Epic/Legendary you have a chance to just get a common item or a lower quality item, despite you smithing a Legendary piece by itself. Hoping this gets some improvement so that if all pieces are made as Legendary/Epic/Rare you will get a guaranteed quality of that type. (I can understand if one piece is legendary/epic/rare and another is a lower quality which could end up with a lower tier but shouldn't be more than a tier lower unless you have an epic weapon head and a common handle or something. Needs some serious work.) -The Mines are great conceptually as mining your ore to smelt into proper bars is key to your craft. However, my problem comes with how exactly the mines are given ore. First level is coal and copper with the rare ore being iron. The second level is somehow copper, iron, coal and gold/silver. The second level should honestly just be iron and silver/gold without any copper. That way it feels worth while to unlock that section of the mine. -Mostly for a quality of life for a personal opinion I think the stacking values should be increased at least to 20 for all items that would make sense to be stackable. -During the assembly process, sometimes trying to click and drag an item to it's slot can feel rather sticky or unresponsive (probably just a bug that can be fixed) -Movement can be a bit clunky at times as well as having both E and left click by default being mine but only E to pick up items. (So this will have you swinging you pickaxe in the mines if you are trying to pickup ore with E and as of right now no way to change the keybindings) -Placing racks or other furniture items and unable to rotate or remove them NEEDS to be implemented sooner then later if game is to be functional for selling to customers to be at least on part with other games of it's kind. WHAT I'D LOVE TO SEE -Other locations opening up to add more depth to gameplay and to breakup the loop. -Additional talents that further expands your blacksmithing and mining abilities. -A higher tier storage chest, could be a magical chest or something found in a higher tier dungeon or a reward for a quest or something, that has more storage space or higher stack counts for all items maybe up to 40-50 stack size while inside this container in addition to having it act as a way to quickly use the materials inside the chest to craft/assemble/repair. (Akin to a reagents bank tab from World of Warcraft) -More weapon types added such as daggers, flails, crossbows, bows, etc to further flesh out the crafting system. -Some kind of end-game content you can send your fully equipped heroes with legendary gear to get further rewards or more challenging dungeons, quests, perhaps implementing some kind of tournament they can participate in with you as a sponsor for their entry, sharing in the winnings for providing them funds and exceptional armor and weapons.
