Medieval Kingdom Wars It looks incredible on paper: Grand Strategy (think CK II mixed with Total War) on the campaign map and traditional RTS (Age of Empires) when initiating battles sounds absolutely incredible. I love Strategy games. In a way it does work, but it gets bogged down with clunky controls, lack of visual unit distinctions and no easy way to control larger groups of units. 6/10

I won't say that this is a complicated game with many features. However, if you like games such as Age of Empire or Stronghold Crusader, you probably like this game. The gameplay is a mixture of Crusader King and Age of Empire with the game is played in campaign map format and play-pause situation. And when you attack a city or an army, you will be zoomed in as the Age of Empire format. You need to construct a building, upgrade your army, and establish more army to win the battle in certain amount of time. If you are looking for complex strategy game at least as same as Crusader King or Total War series, then I STRONGLY against buying this game bcs it might seem repetitive for you. But if you depart from a game such as Age of Empire, then this is the game for you. Also, it would be much more worth it if you buy it on sale and with the Greater World DLC too since the map only covers England and France.
