The game is very fun, the rapid beat mechanic (Auto-Combo) is a gift from heaven for beginners who may not have played any other fighting games before, like myself. After 10 hours of gameplay, I'm still relatively bad. I still rely on Rapid Beat for Multiplayer fights, however, I've started learning actual combos without the assistance of rapid beat in Singleplayer/training room. The learning curve is quite steep, especially if you're completely new to the genre, but you can still have fun with friends or in Singleplayer just using rapid beat and learning a couple skill moves. Singleplayer is nice, but not that interesting. I'd say the game truly shines if you play with a friend or are able to find people who are at a similar skill level as yourself in multiplayer. All things considered, play whatever mode you find the most fun. Speaking of multiplayer. It is quite weird due to the fact that the game doesn't have a lot of players on it. The ones that do play multiplayer are 90% of the time sweats who've been playing since release. In short, you'll get absolutely whooped if you're just starting out. There is a discord server which can help you find matches but honestly that's a hassle in my opinion. Overall, if you like Tsukihime/Nasuverse as a whole and if you're willing to invest some time to learn the game it is definitely worth it. All the characters have variety and stay true to their abilities in the Visual Novels. I'd recommend waiting for a discount to buy the game, as it has been going on sale like every month after the announcement of Melty Blood: Twi-Lumina. Also, Aoko Aozaki is the best character.
so im really bad at this game but i really like tsukihime. especially ciel. i think that to improve this game, ciel should be barefoot. i think if she was barefoot or maybe wearing stirrup socks then id be a little better at this game. but its really great. just maybe remove some unecessary outer layers from ciel's soles. idk. maybe make her barefoot.
Mostly played on Switch. Super smooth and fast, very fun fighting game. Graphics really pleasant, and the 3d backgrounds paired with the 2d characters avoids looking tacky. The few negatives are the people using it to larp, and the lack of mahoyo and knk characters (inshallah they add some in twi lumina fr).
