Fun little game, max 10h of content, after that you are on your own to prettify your base. The 50% achievements are in the end just grind. Sound bugs like very 10 min. I needed to offen save->menu->load because i did either not hear anything or for example thunder or rain got stuck. Its like a at least 25% chance to have the vehicle sound not working on every entry. I did not encounter much visual bugs, besides some missing love when it comes to texture alignment on the world tiles. Sad thing is, at the time where you think that this is nice and have fun to play, the only thing todo left is, ending the game. Also one thing i did not realize, the world is so "boring" i did not expect to find another "biome" far away. I had to google where to get crystals.. because i was nearly finished with everything.

One of my favorite games! Even if it's pretty short and not too much to do, it still scratches that base building-, open world-, surival-craft itch. Definately worth the price, big recommed.

It's a short and simple little crafting game. A bit of researching, some different materials and when you launch to leave the planet, the game ends. It crashed once and was otherwise bug-free.

You know, I remember when I came across this title when it was in early access. It was pretty straight forward survival sandbox. There were no enemies at that time or rocket to fly away with. I eventually found the title even on steam and well, Here is my honest opinion. If I would be able to design games or code I would be proud if I could make something like this. It's simple it's fun, the game loop always revolves around you surviving certain amount of days while you manage your hunger and oxygen. Once you find out that you can take out the enemy creatures with even the basic shovel, you become an unstoppable killing machine. Unfortunately the game also suffers with lack of sustaining the player for longer time. The reason is primarily due to lack of more enemies, biomes and tech to obtain. The only difference you will experience is when you play with longer night or 24/7 night time mode. But it will just take you longer to finish set missions. I would recommend this as a good starting point for survival genre for new comers to gaming. The game does not need 5090 to run, it's pretty straight forward and also getting the 21 achievements is natural and there are no extra things you really need to do, as you will get them during the with the game. I would suggest picking this up during a sale.

Is it bare-bones? Yes. Is it basic? Also yes. Does it have surprising depths? No, not really. Mewnbase is a chill, relaxing survival game. Yes, there are threats. Yes, you can die. But overall, it's just about gathering resources and expanding your base as you survive for a set amount of time (about an in-game month), then building a rocket and leaving. There's no surprising plot twists, no secret agenda to uncover. Just a randomly generated map and cute graphics. It's a relaxing way to spend some time, easily worth the $10 price tag, but it's not the next Subnautica if that's what you're looking for.
