    Bought this game because it was the only thing that costed exactly $2.29 NZD (on special): the exact amount of money left on a gift card I was using to buy a few other things on Steam. And, after scrolling through thousands of hentai titles in the lowest-price section, I was pleasantly surprised to find "Milkmaid of the Milky Way" was both a) not a sex game, contrary to what the name could imply and b) an award-winning indie point-and-click! How could I resist?! Although quite short (an hour or so), the pixel graphics (against hand-painted backdrops), atmospherically sweet soundtrack and refreshingly simple UI more than explain why this game won an award. I enjoyed my playthrough. I played a lot of point-and-clicks during the 90s and I found this a good salute to those without all the confounding or illogical puzzles. There are a lot of clues hidden in the rhyming couplets which compose literally *all* dialogue in the game - absolute kudos to the creator for this, alone - and the story was compelling enough to keep you trying a few things if at first you didn't succeed. Recommend this if you want something short and sweet.

    A lovely story with captivating atmosphere. I loved the wonderful rhymed lines and great music. The visuals are simple yet nice. A short, but emotional experience.

    I originally played this game on mobile and absolutely loved every moment of it, from start to finish. I bought it on Steam just to leave this review, hoping to encourage Machineboy to release another game soon 😊. Thank you for creating such beautiful games ❤️.

    Milkmaid of the Milky Way is a point & click game. The game aesthetics are pixel art and this is only the start... actually I won't write the whole review in rhyme, if I want to be done in time. So yes the writing is nice and poetic, everything is written in rhyme. The music is great, the ambience is there, honestly this is quite the hidden gem! Some puzzles are a little nonsensical as is usually the case with those type of games (using a frog next to a cog so it screams to get an oil can, for instance,) but most of the puzzles were easy enough and enjoyable. The game has a lot of running around with unskippable transitions, but I guess that the game is already quite short, so it's not that bad. The story is really intriguing and I can say there was a lot of creativity involved in the whole thing. The characters are adorable (well MOSTLY) and the experience is worth the time spent. Overall, a fine point and click game that is between 1 to 2 hours long with a good story.
