It's not a bad game, it has nice graphics, good execution the voice acting is good and the puzzles make sense. I think a lot of people will enjoy this game especially at a discount. I played a little bit of it but it just wasn't quite what I was looking for, albeit my experience with this game was positive so I would recommend people try it, especially during sales events.

The translation was probably monologue not monolith, the first part was a SCi-Fi adventure game which was fun with logical puzzles, couldn't wait to find out more. The last part was hilarious it just went on and on, as it told the end of the story. We were just laughing it was very funny, but not in a good way!

Monolith is a point-and-click science-fiction adventure that carries the unmistakable signature of Animation Arts, blending cinematic atmosphere with methodical exploration. Developed and published by the studio alongside Assemble Entertainment, the game follows Tessa Carter, a lone survivor of a catastrophic crash who awakens on a hostile alien planet with scattered memories and an uneasy sense that something has gone terribly wrong. Rather than throwing players immediately into danger, the narrative grows slowly, allowing mystery, isolation, and curiosity to take hold. The planet itself becomes a character—an abandoned, overgrown place filled with remnants of technology, dormant research projects, and unknown life-forms, all suggesting a deeper tragedy waiting to be uncovered. Accompanying Tessa is C.O.R.E., a floating, dry-humored robot whose presence introduces levity and companionship without undermining the tension. The visual presentation is one of Monolith’s most striking elements. The environments look hand-crafted, with layered backdrops that evoke both beauty and decay—corridors cracked open by nature, rusted machinery reclaimed by alien flora, and research stations frozen in time. The lighting and color palette reinforce the game’s emotional tone, often highlighting loneliness, danger, or wonder without words. Character animations can feel a bit stiff, particularly during dialogue exchanges, but the overall world design remains consistently immersive. Sound design further strengthens that immersion, using ambient hums, subtle musical cues, and carefully timed silence to communicate emotional beats even when the screen remains still. Voice acting is understated but effective, especially during moments where Tessa wrestles with uncertainty or fear. As a point-and-click adventure, Monolith leans into traditional genre values: careful observation, environmental interaction, and puzzles that reward thought rather than reflexes. The puzzles vary in structure—from inventory-based problem solving to deciphering alien technology—and most of them feel naturally integrated into the world rather than arbitrarily inserted. The sci-fi setting allows for clever mechanics involving power systems, access terminals, and scientific tools, which encourage players to pay attention to visual and narrative context. Some early puzzles may feel straightforward, almost tutorial-like, but the complexity grows steadily. C.O.R.E. serves not only as comic relief but also as a hint dispenser, scanner, and narrative anchor, helping maintain momentum without resorting to intrusive guidance. The pacing favors exploration and storytelling rather than constant escalation. Players move through new environments gradually, reading logs, piecing together information, and forming theories long before the game confirms or denies them. This structure works well during the middle chapters, where the mystery deepens and the stakes become more personal. However, the final act struggles to deliver a resolution as compelling as the buildup. The conclusion arrives quickly and relies on familiar science-fiction tropes, which may leave some players wanting a more daring or emotionally resonant payoff. While the journey remains engaging, the destination lacks the same level of nuance and intrigue. Monolith’s weaknesses mostly stem from its scope rather than its ambition. The character models and facial animations sometimes clash with the otherwise meticulous environmental art. A few puzzles edge into trial-and-error territory, and players accustomed to modern streamlining may find navigation occasionally rigid. The linear structure ensures strong narrative control, but it also limits experimentation and replay value. Despite these blemishes, the game maintains a sense of confidence in its design—never overreaching, but never feeling careless either. What ultimately makes Monolith compelling is its atmosphere. It understands that science fiction does not need to rely on action to feel tense or meaningful. Instead, it focuses on isolation, memory, human fragility, and the haunting remains of scientific ambition. Tessa’s journey is less about saving the universe and more about understanding what happened, what was lost, and what responsibility remains. Players who enjoy slow-burn mysteries, environmental storytelling, and classic adventure structure will likely appreciate what the game offers. Those seeking branching paths, fast-paced combat, or large open worlds may find it too restrained. Monolith may not redefine its genre, but it stands as a thoughtful, carefully crafted adventure that respects both player intelligence and emotional investment. It invites curiosity, rewards patience, and builds a world that lingers in the imagination long after the credits roll. For fans of narrative-driven science-fiction adventures—especially those who cherish atmosphere and puzzle-based discovery—Monolith is well worth the journey. Rating: 7/10

I enjoyed it. Was a nice change in pace from AAA games. I remember playing the THE DIG back when I was a teen. So the art style got me interested in this hoping for a story like that again.
