The mail? The mail comes everyday, I look out the window waiting for the moment it appears. Then when it does, I rush outside to see what I got! Sometimes its little pieces of paper, sometimes its BIGGGG boxes! Either way I open it immediately. A brand new pair of socks? I got it in the mail. A letter from a dear old friend? I got it in the mail. A collection of the worlds greatest insects? Well that just showed up in my house one day

Finally got around to playing this after playing through Resident Evil Requiem. It's got that good ol Resident Evil feel to it. Story was fun, gameplay was fun, voice acting is PHENOMENAL. Arlo in particular was a real treat in a lead role. Would love to see him do more. I'd easily buy a My Friendly Neighborhood 2 if that ever happens.

This game is Resident Evil meets Sesame Street with an actual thematic Story, it's not plagued with mysteries about what "really" is going on, it's a straight forwards narrative about people with really fun gameplay and puzzles inspired by Resident Evil. Overall this game is well worth a play. If you play it, reading all the notes are a must.

People calling it Sesame Street meets Resident Evil are right. My Friendly Neighborhood is a survival horror game that isn't trying to be horror too much, but a Resident Evil that is rated E for Everyone. It's purely SH from a gameplay standpoint only completely by design and it works. Level design and flow is top notch. Story wise it tackles a few surprisingly mature themes, but it isn't hamfisted about it. What some people might not like is the fact that, aside from a few rooms, muppets respawn instantly if not taped. They also constantly yap about everything and nothing, even if you immobilize them with tape. Additionally, FoV above 65-70 has negative impact on firearm accuracy, and increases player melee and enemy grab ranges to absurd degrees. It makes it hard to determine effective distance between you and the muppets. All of this due to a fish-eye effect at barely above 70. I dropped it from 90 to 80 FoV, since at 90 it was barely playable, and was able to compensate for the differences, but I was still considering dropping it further, even though this low FoV can cause nausea for myself. I have no idea how almost nobody is mentioning this massive technical issue. In general My Friendly Neighborhood is a passion project and clearly a lot of love went into its production. Actors noticeably had fun voicing the puppets and the credits theme song is the cherry on top. Worth checking out.

Resident Evil but with The Muppets. As a person who enjoys horror games like Resident Evil, Visage, Silent Hill etc. My Friendly Neighborhood was a good change for me. I would easily recommend this for a player who may have a hard time with horror games because they are too scary, or they are looking for their "first horror experience" (and they aren't afraid of puppets). It introduces lots of the same mechanics like RE games do, and it rewards you for exploration. Sometimes you get lost in these types of games, and there is a lot of backtracking, so taking notes isn't a shame! After finishing it, you unlock lots of interesting challenges, harder difficulties, and cheats to get more fun out of it. You know pure old school fun! Not gonna lie, the game feels wholesome, and I can see that the devs had fun making this. This was a fun experience!
