Great game but you need a good pc to miss lags. I have a pretty great pc but still lag sometimes. So devs please optimize your game.

REVIEW UPDATE: Latest update is a great improvement in a lot of fields. It added some storyline missions, new mechanics and a lot of cool stuff. It also took the performance up another level; 120-130 fps constantly, even without recently added FSR 3.1. My Village Life is very interesting and has a nice setting being a Hungarian village in 80's. There are a few problems which are yet to be resolved, but that's why we have early access. On the other hand, I have a soft spot for games like this and I always support indie developers with fresh ideas. I also had some fun with it, so I'd recommend the game. Fun quests and funny characters make this a very unique experience, it also feels like a real countryside to live in. And it's still under development with rich updates, so we'll see what it brings in the future. Models and objects are really basic and seem a little out of scale sometimes. I can't say that's a bad thing because it certainly has it's style. I'm actually happy that the developers didn't just buy those overused and anywhere recognisable assets and shoved them into the game. That's a plus from me. The thing that annoyed me the most is sound design and I hope it improves in the future. Vehicles seem to have three sound files; speed up, slow down and idle. But the sounds are recordings with very bad looping. For example the car sounds like it has infinite gears. Sounds also have noticeable pauses, so it really sounds pasted together. Performance in this game is wild and it's like a story. On a nice sunny day, you start with 110fps. Here comes the wind, 90 fps. Then you go to start up your car, 50 fps. By the time the car starts, its night already, so 40 fps. Drive a few meters down the road and it starts raining, 25 fps. Come back home and low fps goes away like problems when you wake up the next morning. The game also has a strange annoying stutter or jitter when moving, but it can be minimalised by disabling head bob and fov jump. I would not say it's unplayable, just unstable. The heaviest stutter I experienced was during plane advertisement mission, but granny's song made it funny so not really a problem, that is just charm of indie games. Tested with i5-12400F, 32GB DDR5 RAM, RX 6800 XT 16GB and M.2 SSD on 1440p. I can't tell you where this game is headed, but I'm certain the direction is right :)

While I do recommend this game, i do have a few notes that the developers may want to take into account. - make the doors work like... doors. have them need to be opened in order to get inside the car. adding onto this, make the windows roll down, like they are already. - make the buttons in the car work. sure, keep the keybinds for people who want to use them, but i'd love to actually have to press a button to say, turn on the radio. - FIX THE ENGINE SOUND! the car at high speeds plays the usual high rev tones of a trabant, but it dips slightly and then cuts off horribly to begin the loop again. it's extremely annoying! - the walking feels a little janky, and sometimes my character will keep moving even though i've stopped pressing W.
