A potential Slay The Spire wannabe, but before you buy it lets keep this in mind: Pros: * Art concept is unique and superb * Core game mechanic is unique and simple, but can be hard to master. * Interesting characters with unique gameplay. * It is somewhat challenging**. Cons: * It is unpolished. There are some features that they should implement. e.g. Quit a fight because its not possible to win or lose? * It has bugs, but they're not game breaking. e.g. Ernan Cortez has some phantom damage and status application. * UI is unpolished. e.g. The upgrade UI sometimes does not unlocks or show upgrade description. * Game behavior is unpolished. e.g. For multiple attacks after killing a mob it will phase out, in and die. * **Fight mechanics are fine. Some are cool, some are hard, some are easy, but there are some that just locks you into an eternal loop of +damage/+shield. * There is no end game to look up for. Once you unlock everything its a delete-and-forget-game. In all I'd buy this game on a sale. You're looking for 12ish hours of gameplay. It's one of those games that are killing cool, but for some external reason it was released unpolished and left for dead. It wouldn't hurt to throw in some lore or background story as you play and unlock things. Art is strong with this game so that would be super cool. Hopefully they'll fix the bugs and inconsistencies of the game. And eventually release an endgame loop. Maybe allow us to create our character, decks and lets us fight each other online with a scoreboard.

51% yes - 49% no + most of its art is good + the boost the damned give you makes the game more fun (Jeanne + Nietzsche, Vlad + Boudica) + I like the differences in the play style depending on your character choice - the art stands out on your heroes and the cards and the nadir; the enemies seem a bit unfinished due to the difference in the art style, which is a pity - scrolling is unreliable and makes you miss your nodes, and it's a bit gimmicky returning to your current node if you haven't finished with it yet - please let me skip animations; they re slow; or at least give me the option to speed them up; the more you play the game, the less you like the animations - some cards/damned seem unbalanced; I doubt I could build a viable strategy with everything I am given

Unique concept for card game, great aesthetics, the game surprised me, highly recommended EDIT: What I suggest for developers: make it possible to increase animation speed (your animations aren't good right now and to be honest game seems very slow right now). I'd love to keep playing the game, but right now I feel I lose lots of time to see boring animations each time.

A very interesting take on a deck-builder game. The lack of randomness and full visibility and control of enemy actions allows the player to fully plan out the encounter. This makes it more of a puzzle - a thinking man's game, rather than card slinging mayhem. That being said, currently the game is too easy. I completed the game with Joan on my second try and I haven't lost with her on any subsequent runs. The minimum card limit of 6 makes it really easy to create truly degenerate loops with certain cards (near infinite blocking and full heals on reroll with scaling damage). Also the runs are just a bit too short for my liking. More cards (and a balancing pass on them) and more enemies would be very welcome as well. All in all, I do enjoy the game and I believe there is a lot of room for improvement during the early access.

A very thinky kind of deckbuilder, with a very intriguing card playing system where you choose what attack you get hit by. Fast paced, good art, and very solid setting. Issues? Font size currently is hard to read, and the starting character is just a little to vanilla for my taste. Small potatos that I am sure the team will fix.
