Coming over from Storm 1, Storm 2 is an improvement in so many ways. First and most major improvement is the inclusion of a clear story mode that follows the story. Storm 1 biggest flaw was not telling the story directly and Storm 2 definitely made sure to not repeat that mistake. Second major improvement (Which be becomes a staple of the series) is the boss fights. Every battle really have feel like you are taking place in them yourself they are all very unique too. The adventure mode exploration is nice as a post game past time after clearing the main story so it keeps you busy. The biggest flaw comes to the achievements, having online ones really makes the game tedious to 100% achievements since you basically got to 100% the game itself. Storm 2 is not a new game anymore so that makes the online scene practically dead and players would have to hunt down other players for help. The titles achievement is an even worse offender. Overall though, the game is solid and does what you expect as sequel by improving from it’s predecessor and setting a polished new standard for the Naruto Storm games.

While the combat mechanics may feel somewhat simple compared to more competitive fighting games, the game more than makes up for it with its style, charm, and fan service. For Naruto fans especially, the experience is hard to beat.

My most wanted game when I was a kid, my parents couldn't afford a new gen console so I stuck to the PS2, always wanting to play Storm 2 someday. Now, being a grown up with my own money, I decided to give it a try, and felt like my younger version was being the happiest kid in the world. Amazing experience, great way of adapting the story, epic boss fights. Truly felt like a child playing this.
