English Version (french below) Very nice game, lots of cutscenes, original boss fights with very stylish QTE, a hub world with lots of side content to do (even if a bit disappoiting compared to the previous game), nice music and a game covering what are considered to be among the best arcs of Naruto Shippuden. The gameplay still remains similar to the first one but removes some pretty cool features (jutsu clashes, walking on walls...), but it does introduce online mode. Achievements related to online can be annoying but if you have someone to do it with you, it's pretty simple (but i'm still not over that play-time achivement, that's just unecessary) Overall, really cool game, definitely recommend it ! Version Française : Un jeu très sympa, plein de cinématiques et de combats de boss avec des QTE très classes, un hub world pour du contenu additionnel (meme si un peu decevant par rapport a son predecesseur), de la bonne musique et un jeu qui couvre les arcs considérés comme parmi les meilleurs de Naruto Shippuden. Le gameplay est assez similaire au jeu d'avant, mais retire des mécaniques pourtant plutôt sympas (clash de jutsu, capacité à marcher sur les murs), mais il a introduit le mode online. Meme si certains succès liés a l'online peuvent etre un peu gênant, ca se fait vite si vous avez quelqu'un avec qui le faire (par contre je trouve toujours ce succès de temps de jeu dans le mode aventure un peu inutile) Globalement, un jeu très sympa que je recommande !
The second game in the franchise has a linear gameplay mode unlike the first, making it more comfortable to play. It follows the story up to the fight against Pain with few alterations, but it falls short a bit with the extra fight between Sasuke and Killer Bee. The controls are comfortable, except for the substitution function, which bothered me during gameplay. Its only flaw is that it's geared more towards those aiming for the 100% trophy; when that's your goal, the experience goes from fun and dynamic to long and drawn out, especially with online trophies.
Fun game, story mode movements are restricted and not as fun as in the first game. Seems the focus is on the fighting vs/ online. The color pallet is much crisper and very smooth play. The story mode is much more rushed and not as much replay as the first, it's also much easier. Most items can be picked up on the roads so no need to do mission to obtain items, making it a little too easy. Also much more voice actors/acting in all the scenes so you don't need to be reading. Controls/moves are much easier and smoother than the first as well, so dropping the specials in the middle of a combo is very smooth in transitions. Support attacks are much better as well.
