This isn't a perfect game... or even a great game lol. But let's face it... that isn't why you are looking at it. It's a roguelite in Hades fashion. In that sense, the combat isn't too bad honestly. You get multiple different weapons with various upgrade aspects you can try out. You get potential assistance from a variety of monster girls who also are the ones providing your blessings (think of them as the Gods of Olympus from Hades). The typical combat rooms aren't too hard in general, but the boss fights can be tricky. There's all kinds of meta progression upgrades to buy, as well as gifts to buy the monster girls which level them up and in turn get you better pets and blessings. Progression through the stages is just like you would expect. Beat a room, then there's usually two doors, sometimes one, with a label on it about what the reward in the next room will be. You can find shops, healing rooms, blessing rooms, or rooms that give you your meta currencies (cake and monster gems). Go far enough and you'll get a miniboss, but that doesn't end the biome yet. You need to keep going and then you get to the final boss of the biome. Beat them, and then you move to next biome. Very straightforward, and honestly that's good because it means they stuck to a tried and trusted design. It seems to be a little bit on the easier side, but that doesn't mean there isn't game play here. Honestly, I find it fun without being too, too easy. And I don't want this game to be brutally difficult, because I bought it as a supplement to my other brutal games... I like a bit more of a relaxed but still focused and action oriented combat game. I have 108 mins in game right now and it says I have 27/60 achievements (almost half), and I have various achievements that are at 5%, 9%, 15%, and 25% ranges (for how many other players have them). So from what I can tell... people don't play this very much once they get it, which is too bad. My biggest critiques of the game are the translations and the artwork (unfortunately). The translations aren't too bad, but they are very stunted. So while you are reading decently constructed sentences... they kind of string together in meaningless fashion. You are left kind of scratching your head at what in the heck that was just supposed to mean. The artwork is low resolution, which is the biggest hit I think. Let's be honest... the monster girl art is what you are looking for. But playing at high res (I play in 4k) and the artwork comes out kinda blurry, which is really too bad. It's not terribly blurry... I mean it's still fun. But it's definitely got some blur to it. And also some of the menus have overlapping labels and values, which is kind of janky. But overall I'm not terribly disappointed with the game... it plays quite well. It isn't going to dethrone Hades anytime soon... but there are also worse games out there. And I'm kind of interested in leveling the girls up more, because they actually offer some pretty cool things like marks that you can use to build synergies. Overall I'd say on a good sale, it's safe enough to pick this up as long as you temper your expectations a bit.

I got $20 of fun out of this easily. Translation is a little rough, music can be repetitive if you don't like that, but I really enjoy what they did. It's never going to have the polish of something like Hades. The bosses are a little all or nothing, by that I mean you either stomp them or get stomped based on your build, but bosses are few and far between. I recommend it! If you're not sure, wait for a sale but I think the asking price is fair.

Pretty fun roguelike, a little too heavy into the furry fandom for my tastes, but the cringe is bearable compared to the fun casual gameplay.

This game is a bit easy but the gameplay is fun. The last bosses are a bit strange and have moves that are almost impossible to dodge. Also the language translation is bit lackluster and sometimes I have to guess what they are trying to mean. Even with its flaws and glitches I think this is a fun game.
