🎮 Obscure 2 – A Glorious Mess You’ll Love Every Second Of. Playing Obscure 2 in 2025 feels like digging up an old mixtape from high school and realising every track still slaps. It’s a glorious throwback to the golden age of couch co-op horror, where the graphics were gritty, the dialogue was cooked, and the gameplay was just challenging enough to make you yell at your mate for wasting all the ammo. Let’s be real: the voice acting sounds like someone fed a script to a malfunctioning GPS, the cutscenes have aged like milk in the sun, and the controls are about as smooth as a gravel driveway. But none of that matters. This game is pure, chaotic fun - and it knows it. 🧟‍♂️ Why it still rips - Split-screen panic: Nothing bonds mates like screaming through a mutant-infested school while arguing over who gets the last health pack. - Survival with spice: It’s not a walk in the park. You’ll need to ration gear, solve puzzles, and cop a few jump scares that still hit surprisingly hard. - Atmosphere that lingers: Creepy corridors, eerie music, and monsters that look like they crawled out of a Year 10 art project, but somehow still freak you out. - Campy charm: It’s like watching a dodgy horror flick with a six-pack and zero expectations. You’ll laugh, you’ll scream, you’ll probably quote it ironically for weeks. It’s not polished. It’s not modern. But Obscure 2 is the kind of game that makes you miss the days when horror was weird, co-op was local, and fun didn’t need a patch update. A cult classic that’s rough around the edges, and all the better for it.

Much more frustrating than the first towards the end, and a lot of reloading due to sparsely-placed checkpoints. However, I loved the majority of this game, and considering the price, it's pretty good. I still recommend getting heavily discounted due to the play length and because of how lackluster the endgame is.

I remember when I was a kid, I found Obscure 2 (ps2 game) in my CDs case. I don't remember buying this game at all and my brother also had no idea how this game was there. Then I tried this game and it was really scary for me at that time. but I want to explore more about this game and keep playing. So I kept going but Mel's hacking puzzles are so advanced for me (still these days lol). I stopped playing and I haven't gotten into it so far. Still over a decade later, the thought of this game often comes into my mind. I really wanted to know what is going on with these college students and why there are monsters. I didn't even know this is the sequel. But one day I randomly searched on steam and I found these games again. If you compare these games with resident evils, silent hill and other games, of course these aren't that great but I think they are still good for what they are. If you are a fan of that cult classic horror movie called Faculty and the styles of early 20s, you will have so much fun with these games. I always think Stan really looks like young Josh Hartnett and Corey looks like Deryck from sum 41 pop punk band. ( I mean they have sum 41's still waiting song in the intro of the first game ) after all, give these games a try if you are a survival horror fan like me. I'm glad these are still available to buy

this game is a great old school coop experience! i played obscure 1 back on the og xbox and when i seen it on here i had to buy it for me and a buddy to play through. obscure 1 leads right into obscure 2 which is awesome i would recommend buying the bundle and playing 1 first. I haven't played 2 before so we are playing through it now and its definitely different but its fun also! highly recommend both obscure 1 & 2.

A continuation of Obscure 1. I really love this genre of video. The gameplay, storyline and how nostaligic it makes you feel when you play it. Takes me back in the early 2000s.
