I love this game, but the port is horrible. There are a ton of bugs, so here are some things to keep in mind: - Controller mapping must be done through Steam community layouts - Controller must be plugged in when the game is launched - Audio output cannot be changed - Max resolution is 1080p - Reconfiguring resolution manually will break cutscenes and may cause the game to crash - Reconfiguring audio output manually while the game is running will cause the game to freeze Pirate Warriors 3 improves everything from Pirate Warriors 2 and repackages it. There are a lot of reused animations and movesets, but it's different enough to not feel like a copy-paste. That being said, the gameplay loop is exactly the same, as you would expect from the musou genre. The gameplay is basically the same thing over and over but with different map layouts and characters. The roster for this game is great, even if you have to play some pretty bland bonus levels to unlock everyone. If you've enjoyed a musou game before, you won't be disappointed with this.

An okay port of the PS4 title. I've enjoyed my time with it, but highly recommend using a steam deck, performance and controls were more consistent on it than my PC. PC really struggled with keybinding to controller during my attempts.

5 dollars on sale is a steal but it has contoller issues. You want to get the most used community layout, edit that community layout, remap the RB button to the letter O, and then double check the remapped controls in the game settings. When you map your controls with the edited community layout, it will show keyboard bindings now, don't worry about that, its normal. You will also want to configure the camera controls to the right analogue stick. You have now have a fully functional Pirate Warriors 3, that even uses the correct buttons in the menu.
