I bought it on sale for like 2 bucks and so far got nearly 2 hours of play from it, and very easily can get more; even if I don't, I'm highly content with my purchase. If you just play on easy mode matches are short and fun, and if you play on the higher difficulties the duration of play is entirely in your hands, but due to the nature of gameplay you'll be averaging to short adventures; not once did reloading a save come into play for me, as I either beat the demon king through just a couple of fights, or died shortly after he first appeared. It's quick, it's fun, but most of all, it is incredibly straight forward. Honestly this probably would do well as a mobile game and I bet if this developer hasn't made something like that, someone else trying to steal their mojo already has.
An addictive little game, with a lot of variety, multiple characters and endings despite its simplicity. The roguelike nature can make it a little frustrating to get the needed events or items required to progress a particular plotline, but the dimensional vault letting you transfer items between runs helps mitigate that.
One of my all time favorite games, and probably the best game for the price. Takes a little to get a hang of the systems, but it's so worth it. Runs are easy enough to jump in, but I found just enough complexity to really get invested in my characters and their story that was told through the run. Might be too simple for others to extract the level of emergent story telling I did from it, but I highly recommend regardless. It's such a wonderful little roguelike rpg It often goes on sale for under a dollar, so please do give it a try <3
