Very pleasantly surprised by this game. I grabbed it on a whim the other day, because the gameplay sounded cozy and right up my alley. I had no prior knowledge of this series, but now I think I might try the other OPUS games, too. Definitely recommending this to anyone who enjoys narrative-driven games and (for the most part) slow-paced, cozy play styles. The plot is basically about the journey of life, featuring lots of different interpersonal relationships and heartfelt moments that the protagonist experienced as he grew up. I also LOVE the fact that he's an adult close to my own age...makes me feel seen (pun intended :3c). Graphics, art style and music are quite polished. The voice acting was good overall (I started playing in Japanese, then switched to English sometime throughout chapter 2). The overall vibes are very reminiscent of anime titles like Your Name, Chihiro and Mononoke Hime. Using photography not only as a narrative theme, but also a gameplay mechanic, tied everything together pretty nicely and made it feel more impactful at the same time. Admittedly, the story is quite straightforward for the most part, but it still manages to stay engaging and even pull off a little twist or two. My one and only criticism is that the matter of urgency conveyed within the plot doesn't always match and reflect in the gameplay. Trying to explain it as spoiler free as possible: you’re being told that you need to hurry and get to X in order to prevent Y, and this gets reinforced more and more as the story progresses - but then the gameplay wants you to chill, explore and photograph all the things.

They delivered it once again. I've had been playing all of the OPUS series multiple time since "OPUS:The Day We Found Earth" to this latest installment and I really enjoy the way they innovative with the games the way they wrote it. Especially when this one having a massive improvement over immersion, playtime scale, graphic, music and game design compared to three previous games. Although for some reason this one stories and voice acting is rather fast instead of "click-to-advance" like most of the VNs or other games that have stories or dialogues in general. But I think that is fine. I'm not really good with words and don't usually give out reviews for games and I'm currently still playing but personally in my opinion this game overall is highly enjoyable and you don't really have to play all of the previous games to understand the connection between each since each are a complete standalone but still maintain that "OPUS Mechanics" and Easter Eggs related but didn't affect the stories much, as well as the affordable price they have there. Edited reviews after finishing the game: I finished the game and this game is truly moved me deeply as expected and as well changed a piece of my life. Thank you SIGONO for creating this. This game is truly exceptional.

"OPUS: Prism Peak" is truly emotionally draining. It's not just typical narrative game like the ones I've played in the visual novel genre before, which can leave me pondering long after the credits roll. The photography mechanics feel deeply integrated into the story, making every captured moment feel personal and precious. The visuals are beautiful, the music is haunting in a sweet way, and the narrative is brilliantly written. The first thing that immediately strikes me is the stunning art direction. Prism Peak isn't just beautiful because of its high resolution, but because every corner feels like a living painting. The world it presents feels surreal, melancholic, yet deeply personal. Every location in the game has an aura of "calming loneliness" that many other games struggle to achieve. The writing of the game's greatest strength. SIGONO once again proves they are masters of storytelling. Prism Peak explores weighty themes loss, unrealized hopes, and the importance of coming to terms with the past without feeling patronizing or melodramatic. Prism Peak and the soundtrack are cohesive and interconnected whole. The music perfectly complements every scene. There are moments where the music will bring to a peak of emotion, then suddenly silence, and that silence becomes the most memorable moment in the entire game. Can't wait for the next release in the OPUS Series after Prism Peak, Echo of Starsong, Rocket of Whispers, and The Day We Found Earth 💯

I cried when I reached the end, because they forced me to keep only 13 pictures after I took about 250+ perfect ones over 15+ hours T_T Great artstyle Great music Very calming gameplay I really enjoyed taking pictures (روقان من الآخر) Good story and great storytelling, but WAY too many cutscenes and memories. Like okay, we get it… no need to keep looping the same stuff. It’s also ridiculous that you can’t pause in the middle of them. (Might be a SPOILER for OPUS: Prism Peak and OPUS: Echo of Starsong): I love how SIGONO chose to give us an overall hopeful end after Echo of Starsong, While I prefer echo, thankfully I didn't need to cry in this game :]

Fantastic story game SIGONO shows again how to create life experiences that can take you for a ride. This game is mostly about a guy revisiting his past through a photographs. The amount of connections you are able to make and impactful deductions, really puts to shame most adventure games. The freedom of creating this story is on you and facing the consequences of the life. It's not an easy game you really need "sharp eye" to unlock every lore piece. It's funny cause if I were to explain the experience I've got in more detail all I could say it would be that it is a Disneyland mixed with Silent Hill 2. There are moments that Prism Peak makes you think just how much of a tragedy life can be and how important human relations are. There are also over the top anime moments that just makes you laugh and thats intended to just make some breathing room. Summing up the story has its up and downs, but overall its a tremendous improvement something that I will remember for a long while again. Some metaphors, some characters are just soo well done and perfectly voiced in JP dub. Sceneries are beautiful and soundtrack just finishes the heartfull touch. It was worth waiting for all these years.
