The story was interesting enough, just sadly nothing in the game is voiced, because if it was it would have been way more captivating. I tried to read most of the dialogue the way I was imagining the characters would speak, and I'm sure you won't get their emotions and motives as well if you don't do it. Of course, that's why to have voice over is such important part of any game by my opinion.

"If the cosmos was not what brought us together, the cosmos never was." The pacing starts out very slow, then it goes skyrockets near the end. Man... I love OPUS series While the first game is literally about finding Earth in the vastness of space in the distant future, this one is more grounded towards the earth itself, so the theme about making a rocket in a dying world is perfectly fit OPUS theme, especially since it's more than just about flying a rocket to the space space burial, witches, diseases, etc Definitely give it a try if you’re looking for a short, simple story packed with emotions.

ARE YOU A BAD ENOUGH DUDE TO PACIFY THE MOURNFUL DEAD WITH A SPACE FUNERAL?!?!?!?!?!??!?!!? join recently defrosted witch fei and saddest of sacks scavenger john as they build and scavenge parts respectively for a rocket with which to send a whole town's worth of impatient souls to space!!! she is feeling the pressure!!! he is quite literally haunted!!! as the sole survivors of a terrible domino chain of disasters that killed everyone else in at least the two day radius in which they can travel, they are going to have to band together despite their issues (individual, and with each other) if they want to survive the elements of their failing colony to get the job done!!!!! rocket of whispers takes the "seek and find" concept of the day we found earth in a very different direction, as you're physically exploring various areas by foot to pick up resources (as well as lore clues as to the history of the environment and characters). however it very much still shares day we found earth's soul as a character and relationship study where a pair of very different individuals must cooperate to accomplish a goal, as well as its deep love of space. rocket of whispers is a very Sad story due to its post apocalyptic setting and focus on mourning, but it has an immense amount of tenderness and compassion for human life and the human condition as well and so winds up being highly life-affirming as well. the main campaign takes a few hours to play through, after which you are able to continue playing if you'd like to unlock any stray achievements or repair all the lore artifacts (fair warning: the latter may easily double your playtime as you poke your nose into Every Corner of Every Map to find the requisite soul stones. there is no chievo for this. it is a task for hingeless lore hounds Only). it is highly worth the cost of admission imo, as sigono continues to nail their aim of bringing players a singular experience that will stay with you long after the credits roll.
