The story was interesting enough, just sadly nothing in the game is voiced, because if it was it would have been way more captivating. I tried to read most of the dialogue the way I was imagining the characters would speak, and I'm sure you won't get their emotions and motives as well if you don't do it. Of course, that's why to have voice over is such important part of any game by my opinion.

A longer, deeper, and more emotional journey than the first game.

"If the cosmos was not what brought us together, the cosmos never was." The pacing starts out very slow, then it goes skyrockets near the end. Man... I love OPUS series While the first game is literally about finding Earth in the vastness of space in the distant future, this one is more grounded towards the earth itself, so the theme about making a rocket in a dying world is perfectly fit OPUS theme, especially since it's more than just about flying a rocket to the space space burial, witches, diseases, etc Definitely give it a try if you’re looking for a short, simple story packed with emotions.

A significant enough step up from the previous game, The Day We Found Earth. This time both the gameplay and the story are a little more grounded (get it?), mostly consisting of trudging through the snow as the grumpy older man protagonist John in search of materials and mementos from the times before a certain apocalyptic event or during its aftermath. All in hopes of helping the plucky younger woman deuteragonist Fei conduct a ritual to send the souls of the departed off. Both of them also deal with their respective personal grief and trauma in the process. The story and the overall atmosphere are about as bleak and dreary as the game looks, and the gameplay is too repetitive for its own good. But the music was beautiful, the ending was quite touching, and learning about the lives of the people and their struggles through the things they left behind was interesting enough to keep me going for the game's rather short runtime.

Great music and a nice story but, for me at least, the game play wasn't great. Most of the game felt like fetch quest after fetch quest to get materials or help out ghosts. I'm also not a big fan of the art style but that is 100% my opinion and shouldn't have any impact on if you get the game or not. The ending was great and emotional, and I'm glad that it doesn't take too long to get there. A good game overall but in my opinion the constant searching for supplies was long and got pretty boring near the end. I feel like $16 is too much for this game but if you can get this game on sale than the music and story are definitely worth it!
