Challenging bullet hell boss rush with multiple characters, upgrades and sharp gameplay

Phoenix Force offers classic gameplay in the spirit of good old arcades: bright visual effects, memorable bosses and intense action, which does not let you relax even for a second. You can see that the developers were inspired by the hits of the genre, but at the same time added their own zest - for example, the system of ship upgrading between missions. Despite the simple graphics, the game captivates with its energy and polished gameplay. The sound accompaniment perfectly complements the atmosphere of space battles. If you like complex but fair arcades, where you need to memorize enemy patterns and hone your skills - Phoenix Force definitely deserves attention.

I had a lot of fun with Phoenix Force, especially the boss battles...they’re intense and really make you focus. The levels are tough, but in a way that keeps you coming back for more. That said, after a while, the bosses start to feel a bit samey, which made it hard to stay fully engaged. Still, if you're into fast-paced shooters, it's a solid choice for a quick challenge.

I just got my steam deck and so far this is one of my favourite games to play on it in handheld mode. Phoenix Force is a bullet hell type game where you face endless boss battles. It is quite difficult, as you die in one hit, but as you progress through the worlds your phoenixes become stronger, not to mention you rescue new characters to play as. I am really glad that the phoenixes share a level, because power orbs are limited I feel like it would have given players no reason to try the new characters out otherwise. It's nice to experiment with a few different play styles, though my personal favourite to play as is Cryo!

Phoenix Force can best be described as a bullet hell boss rush game. Journey through 100 levels, with a variety of phoenixes, as well as a variety of foes, most notably, the Eye of Cthulhu from Terraria. This game really keeps you on your feet with all the chaos on screen, some levels can have up to 4 enemies, each shooting their specific projectile, in conjunction with the other enemies, making it even tougher to stay alive. It can be really satisfying at times, when you avoid a bunch of projectiles all in quick succession, making you feel truly skilled at dodging! Can you rescue all your phoenix pals and save the day whilst dodging a plethora of projectiles that your foes throw at you?
