This game is... slightly less mindless than it seems. It looks like one of those tech demos you see going viral on twitter, with the developer creating a context-based system for connecting houses; but the game itself does have a couple of challenges after all, even if their fun is questionable. It also had a number of bugs when I played it — annoying (like every new map starting from defeat), but not gamebreaking. All in all, it gave me a couple of hours of mindless timekilling I expected.

I really like the game, the design is nice and the mechanics are fun, but when you reach a population of around 15k it starts lagging a lot. It's worse when opening the save, and it gets better after everything loads, but as the population kept increasing I still had to switch from high quality to medium and then to low. I hope the devs find a way to fix this because other than the lag issue it's a very enjoyable game

Wonderful idea and gameplay loop with decent replayability, but lacking the polish of competitors like Islanders. The whole game still feels a bit cluncky and sometimes unintuitive. Still, the game is certainly worth the price tag, esp. on sale, for the unique gameplay experience and visuals alone. Dear developers, if you read this, a few remarks: - please don't enforce timed challenges for progression (10min, seriously? It typically takes me 60min+ to finish a round) - add an undo button please, esp. if you dont plan to majorly improve placement ease and visibility - once you bought and "unbought" an upgrade, switching one/off should be free, to improve replayability and encourage to test out different "load outs". On that matter, adding additional challenges that play into different strategies (e.g. destroy min. of 2500 stacklandians, or add demand for jobs aka factories in close proximity) would add tons of replayability as well. Keep up the good work and all the best for the route to 1.0!

The grammar mistakes and typos are kinda jarring. PLEASE make it better. Things like: "choises" instead of choices. "Let's" when you mean "Lets". "Lets you skip a turn" not "Let us you skip a turn". Let's = Let us. "It's" when you mean "its". "Satisfies the need of Nature in its range" not "it's range". It's = it is. "it is range" is wrong. "Adventages" instead of "Advantages". Please for the love of god, get an editor or someone who speaks English to go over the base text before you fully release this game.

If you're worried about the mixed reviews, don't. Most of the concerns of folks with negative reviews have been addressed in a recent update - you now have full 360 camera controls, and the building interactions float above the building when you're placing one, so you don't have to worry about "Oh no, I didn't realize there was an explosive building here." The art is great, the music is perfect for the aesthetic, and the space you build is unique and interesting - and there's a surprisingly deep level of strategy you'll need to get things perfect. And... heck. The fact that I just used the term "explosive building" in a review of a calm compact city builder should tell you everything you need to know. If that sounds fun to you, get this game.
