Message to the Developers First of all, I want to say that I genuinely enjoy this game and see incredible potential in it. However, there are currently several aspects of the gameplay that make the experience frustrating. I hope you’ll consider player feedback for future updates, as I truly want this game to reach its full potential. [*] Explosion Radius Adjustments: Some ammo types should have a larger explosion radius. Right now, their effectiveness feels inconsistent, often resulting in a hit-or-miss experience. [*] More Realistic Infantry Reactions: Infantry should react more dynamically when under fire. Currently, they run as if they're unaffected by shrapnel or stress. Adding mechanics like momentary confusion, slowed movement due to injuries, or even crawling when wounded would enhance realism and immersion. [*] Option to Skip Briefings/Intros: Please add an option to skip the briefing/introduction or a way to fast-forward. Having to sit through the same dialogue repeatedly after multiple failed attempts at a mission becomes frustrating. [*] Flare Timing & Mechanics: The flare system feels unclear. Even when spamming the flare button, I still get hit at times, making it seem random. If it’s skill-based, an indicator or a tutorial explaining the correct timing would be extremely helpful. Alternatively, an option for auto-flares could assist players struggling with this mechanic. Has been fixed! I have more feedback, but I don’t want to make this post too long. Overall, I love the game and can’t wait to see how it evolves. I truly hope it continues to be refined and improved until it becomes the masterpiece it has the potential to be. Thank you for your hard work!

Good game, only gripe is that the DEV(s) need to up the explosive damage for 20MM/30MM Cannons. HEI should be absolutely destroying personnel but instead they just walk through a 200 round volley. It's very frustrating and is a big shortcoming for me and I'm sure many others. Just increase the explosive damage output of those weapons and the 40MM just a tad, and it'll be damn good. Just shouldn't take 200 rounds or a direct hit to kill enemy infantry.

Pros [*] Captures the feel of what (I imagine) it's like to be an AC-130 gunner. The grainy visuals, the crackly instructions over the radio, the sound of the on-board guns, the very distant small arms fire etc. are all very immersive. [*] Having some Vietnam-era levels and some gulf-war era levels is a phenomenal idea, especially the clear difference in military technology between the two time periods is clear in the gameplay. [*] A lot of thought has been put into the physics of the weapons, like the angle of the guns vs. the plane itself, wind, gravity, coriolis effect etc. Cons [*] Very few historical scenarios compared to the 'zombie' themed levels - personally I would prefer to see far more "real" military scenarios. [*] Only one level seems to have civilians in, despite most levels being set in towns. [*] A.I. a bit wonky sometimes, standing still while being shot at etc. [*] Some soldiers feel a bit too tough, like they've taken a direct hit and survived. [*] Missing dynamic radio chatter; "There's one hiding behind that low wall" or "30 degrees east", or radio information from the ground troops etc. [*] No gibbing or gore - I think the destructive power of the gunship would fleet more real if there was some (albeit realistic) dismemberment. Some building destruction would be good too. Summary Really fun concept and I hope that it continues to be developed further. With a little refinement and a lot more levels this could be a fantastic game, but by far from complete. Review date: 2024-09-10

Very satisfying. My ONLY complaint is that there are far too many pointless zombie missions and not enough actual scenario missions. Zombies should be a minority of the content.

As a prior AC-130H gunner, I can say this game knocks it out of the park. The experience it offers is far more genuine than what you'll find in games like COD. The creator has done a great job and clearly cares about the gunship community. 10/10
