"Me when the hole is hungry" aside from all the other great things about this game, the way people speak/text is just so natural, while also being so distinct between characters also the custom emojis that we don't get to see but *do* get to see the name of?? genius touch

Not just a surprisingly well-implemented gameplay gimmick, but a devastatingly accurate picture of the various types of jackasses that work in tech.

Saw that powerpak made a video on it, dropped everything to play the game first, enjoyed everything about it and now I'm back to the video as I write this. Found the characters to also be very relatable, especially Ella and my own experiences as a transwoman Thank you very much for the experience <3

Extremely gripping. It paints such a clear picture of it's little world that by the end I wasn't even really reading the words, but was just picturing the environment around me.

Short review : COSMIC DREAD UNDER PRESSURE Long review : A ridiculously inventive take on the horror genre; if like me you're into the type of horror that cranks up the dread and anticipation of seeing the aftermath of something horrible that may very definitely happen to you , this is the game for you! You often hear that the scariest type of monster is the one you can't see, and this game uses that expertly, putting you in very tense situations right after you start feeling just a little comfortable. There is something in here with you. You sense it but you don't see it. I really appreciate the sharp association between corporate cruelty and cosmic horror. Many works try to awkwardly, spinelessly make this link, but in PROXIMATE it's a foregone conclusion which lets you get to the real meat (ha ha) of it, and its mechanics cleverly keeps you engaged as the excellent, confident writing deftly goes from hilarious to haunting. It'd be high praise from me to describe PROXIMATE as "if Fullbright's [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/343860/Tacoma/]Tacoma was evil (complimentary)". Each character you learn about through chatlogs, letters and reports feel true to life: there is probably at the very least one character in the team you're investigating that you feel like you've definitely met before. This is the kind of short game (I've completed it in about 90 minutes) that stays with you for a while after playing. Love it!
