After attempting to write this review several times now and failing to find words epic enough to explain what makes Rise of Gun just so amazingly good, addictive to the point of insomnia, a clever mixture of discovery vs money-making mechanics and a perfectly executed simulation of taking a crappy old shop and turning it into an elegant gun emporium plus so very much more than that, I have over 100 hours in game plus around 20-30 on the prologue and demo and every time I play it ends up as 4 to 5 hours and I have to tear myself away from playing. BONUS for any 'Deckers' out there, rest assured it plays like a dream, once you find a control layout or design your own, it is easier than playing on keyboard & mouse in my opinion. The team at PimpGameStudios have scrapped all of the normal conditions a typical studio would aim for to make a successful profitable game. To note a few: No fancy VFX or next-gen graphics - No volumetric clouds or fog (although the rain, snow and thunderstorms are great), No fast paced combat or massive boss fights the closest you get is smacking the shoplifters and retrieving your goods. There's also no complex crafting systems nor easy way of ordering the parts you want and having them delivered to your door, instead you have two shops that sell random parts per gun module with fluctuating prices. What Rise of Gun does have and in spades is a perfectly written and elegantly presented game loop together with an easy to use yet complex to master dynamic pricing system which has profound effect on any profit you make if any at all. It also has four separate treasure hunts across the city one each for Collectibles (the original treasure hunt), Music Tapes (each one found unlocks an extra track you can select on the radio in your shop), Gun Parts nothing cheaper than a freebie and finally Blueprints, once you have unlocked all of the upgrades in your backyard needed to make the parts maker you can use the blueprints to unlock whichever part the blueprint is for, you can then spend scrap instead of money to craft any unlocked blueprints. These treasure hunts have items in easy to find places all the way to hard to reach places, there are even some which require you to pay money to remove scrap objects blocking some areas of the map which may lead to secret rooms with multiple items in them. Another feature is quest givers, there are several of them with a plethora of both fixed and randomized quest lines to complete. You are able to convert part of your backyard in to a fully functional shooting range, customers will pay to use the range providing you supply the gun and the ammo, the price varies depending on the level of the range and the price of the weapon used. Porta-Potties are available to unlock which can be a nice investment but you will need to keep them clean to keep them running, once your loo is infested with flies it is time to buy a water cooler refill bottle from the local cafe to swill out the flies and return the toilet to full service. Talking of service, staff lockers can be unlocked allowing you to employ everything from cashiers, shop moppers to security guards and repair counter staff which is another area you can unlock which gives passers by access to a window where they can get their weapon cleaned and/or repaired for a fee of course. I could keep going on and on about lots more features but this review has already ran on a little I just hope I have convinced even a few people to give it a fair go as it is a very rare Gem of a game that costs less than a Pint of lager and a packet of crisps down your local pub. So quit thinking about it and buy it TODAY!

Fun little game with 5-10 hours of content. Some updates to add more content and maybe a bigger city would be beneficial. Props to the developer who is very vocal and active in listening to suggestions!

booted this up at 5pm for a quick romp and next thing i knew i had a fully employed and stocked store and it was midnight. gameplay is absolutely addicting.

Once you get the timing it becomes easy to manage the store. You might find yourself non-stop building weapons at one point and it become a rinse repeat over time but it was a nice relaxing title for the price that was enjoyable to explore. If your expecting a full/long game this isn't the title for that. It was worth the $10 personally because i enjoy learning new games especially tycoon feels/shop management Once you get the mechanics understood its enjoyment is limited as end game needs more content

If you get it on sale its good for about 10-15 hours of game play. Maybe a bit more if you're looking to make the most expensive gun possible for your gun range. Until there is more content that's about all there is to it. Game runs smooth so long as you're not running it on a pregnancy test or a smart fridge. Have Not experienced any glitches or crashes. Not really much in terms of replay value as its very linear currently A cool idea would be the option to make contracts for like 10 of the same gun for shipping to another settlement. Or seeing guards in the city using your weapons. Maybe expand it to be like fallout 4 lol Maybe expand on the ammo creation instead of it being just ammo for scrap. maybe we could mess around with a more realistic way to make it Adjust gunpowder or bullet weights. Just throwing out ideas that you devs better pay me for
