It was fun for about 2 hours is which is good enough for the price. Sadly it's way too easy and the variety in characters, skill trees and abilities doesn't matter if victory is a forgone conclusion. The ability to deselect bought upgrades was also a bit unintuitive and unclear. The game looks really cute though and I like the animations and sounds. There are quite a few characters with different skill tree paths but it doesn’t really matter. Finishing all the achievements after even only one initial win felt like a slog. The bonus waves also give very little rewards and while it can be interesting how far you can go it also feels like you are wasting even more of your time if you wait to die that way.

Very fun and unique roguelike. The achievements are not hard to obtain and it was actually a pleasure going for 100%. I got the game because, I liked the graphics, but man... the gameplay is crisp, the music and sound is good and the combos you can make are extremely satisfying to build. Get this game!

A fun and enjoyable survivors-like with some limitations. Rocket Rats is a great time for a few hours, offering engaging gameplay with fantastic graphics, UI, and sound design. While it delivers a solid experience, its build and design space feel somewhat limited. The game includes meta-progression outside of runs, allowing you to unlock new rats—each with unique base weapons and skill trees. You can also equip up to three out of nine generic upgrades. I love skill trees, but I find this system a bit unintuitive. Many of the trees force you to choose between Path A or Path B, and sometimes Path B has fewer skill nodes overall. In some cases, a “full tree” for a character might only consist of three or four nodes, while the alternative path allows for deeper progression. This feels jarring—almost like an ARPG where accessing a powerful node requires sacrificing all your other skill points. It just doesn’t feel great. My biggest issue is the lack of variety. Outside of the different characters, there aren’t many unlocks or surprises to discover. The upgrade trees are impactful and meaningful, but there simply aren’t enough of them. I’d love to see more interactions between upgrades to create deeper build variety. Overall, I’d rate Rocket Rats a 7-8/10. For the price, I can't complain, but I hope to see more depth and difficulty options added in the future.

More of a glorified idle game than a survivors-like, since there is almost no space for you to walk on so I'm also not sure why there are movement and dodge upgrades available at all. Still fun and recommended for idle/survivor genre fans though. Especially good for 15 minute gameplay breaks. However, be aware that it's fairly short, but I guess the prices matches that. I managed to beat the game (surviving 30 waves) with all the characters in less than 3 hours.

Great horde-survivor game, been waiting for it! The graphics and the pixel art are on point My issues: lacks content (which is understandable since the game JUST came out), i've been able to unlock everything with 3.5 hrs playtime and the enemy models/sprites are getting boring after a bit since they're only 3. Im not leaving a negative review because the game is new and im sure the devs are gonna put more on it for sure! p.s. VERY FUN GAME!
