This would be a mixed review Pros: + amazing artstyle + banger soundtrack + superb sound design + characters feel varied + skills upgrade functionally, not only numbers (for example, worms can chain of itself on higher levels) Cons: - the runs are very simple and there are't any special or interesting events; just the typical running around the arena for a few minutes and killing the boss - the metaprogression is too slow in my opinion; I think it would be better if those upgrades were at least a bit weaker but cheaper, so you can feel stronger every run - overall the skill system is a bit weird; every single skill is "x% chance to shoot something" - those low chance proce are fun in moderation but there isn't anything else in this game - there is no limit on the number of skills and passives you can have in a run, so you end up with a lot of level 1-2 things you don't want; the game would benefit from a rebalance where you can have only a certain number of skills and passives Tldr: Recommended if you want a basic but solid survivor game. Not recommended if you want something fresh or more deep and interesting Looking forward to the sequel Goobies 2, as it looks promising
Survivals like with its own unique charm. The artifact system is quite similar to that of Risk of rain 2, and I enjoyed that a lot. Allows you to change your gameplay entirely. For 6 bucks (way cheaper on sale) you definitely get what you pay for. The sound and bass is also incredibly satisfying. Huge + for whoever did the sound design! If you enjoy survival-esque games, don't doubt, grab it and smash some slimy bois!
