If you have a real interest in rovers, already know enough about them to satiate your curiosity, and just want to be able to take them apart and put them back together to see how all the bits fit together, this is probably your thing. I think it's aimed squarely at that audience, and the rover models are detailed and (from what I've read) as true-to-life as they could make them within the limitations of the game, so am giving it a recommendation on that basis. If you're more into the game-play and progression aspect of mechanic simulators with perhaps only a passing interest in this specific subject, I'd say look at other games of this genre instead. I couldn't find much to learn here beyond how these particular rovers fit together, and eventually found the gameplay kind of tedious. You get a rover, take it apart, find the broken bits, clean or replace them, put it back together, play a rotate-the-wires minigame to finish it, then throw away the broken bits and get the next one. The game doesn't really tell you anything about the parts you're working with, and I couldn't find any situation in which you have to know the right order in which to re-assemble, so it felt to me a bit more assembly-line-worker than master-mechanic. I couldn't find any kind of personal side-projects other than fixing the radio you're given at the start. There's no customising your workshop, and you can't collect parts to make your own rovers - it's really just the fix-it-up tasks you're given. While there's kind of an opportunity to keep old parts to fit into new jobs to maximise your resource profit, you probably had to take it out because it's too broken to be of any use, and you can't repair it, so there's minimal challenge in that direction either. I also found that the constant automatic camera adjustments kind of get in the way a bit, drawing out the process and making the assembly/disassembly speed increases in the skill tree less of a boon than they might seem. Overall, great if you want to take rovers apart specifically, otherwise it doesn't go as far in giving you fun stuff to do as some of the other mechanic sims that are around.
