While I don't think it's for everyone, if you're looking for an experience similar to Celeste, give it a try. Although, like Celeste, it can get pretty hard and, unlike Celeste, the main mechanic (the grappling hook) can feel a bit unresponsive at times but, once you learn how to use it, it feels amazing to move around.

Excellent and very non-linear metroidvania with unique gameplay. The grappling hook seems clunky at first, but master it and the game will reward you. No invisible walls, no double jump! Great pixel art and soundtrack! Free updates with new areas to explore! Play it!!

Rusted Moss has some of the most enjoyable traversal you can get in a platformer. It has traditional metroidvania style powerups, but the grappling hook-based movement is so dynamic and flexible it allows for all kinds of sequence breaks and unexpected puzzle solutions — you're limited less by what powerups you have and more by your ability to control the character, which the game naturally teaches you over the course of the game. As soon as I finished my first playthrough, I started another one and even on a brand new character with no abilities, I found myself zipping through the initial zones with all the movement tricks I had mastered on my first run. It has plenty of replay value if you want it, but it also values your time and doesn't drag on — I finished my first run in about 10 hours (94% map completion). Play this video game.

BEST METROIDVANIA EVER!!! So here's the deal, I've played all the other "best" metroidvanias and this game beats all of them. It's a masterpiece in almost all aspects, it's only beaten in atmosphere by Hollow Knight. The game excells in its gameplay mechanics, the grapple is the most fun thing to use and the fact that this game was made with speedrunning in mind is just amazing. The setting and the characters are so charming, the story is also the perfect balance of mysterious but not too cryptic. And don't get me started on the artstyle!!! It's just the best (in my opinion at leat, everyone got their own taste) Also the secrets, their really fun to discover. In conclussion, I LOVE this game!!!!! GO PLAY ITTTTTTTTTTT
