Samurai Gunn is a simple, yet highly stylized arena fighter. There’s only three buttons: jump, slash, and shoot. That being said, this simplicity allows players to focus on their strategy. The combat is just straight up satisfying. Sword clashes, gunplay, and movement feel smooth. The 1 v 1 showdowns are creative and super well done. However, this 12 year old game was designed to couch gameplay so it doesn’t have any online capabilities. Still, this game is great to play in any regard. I recommend it.

Wonderful balance, abundant opportunities for strategic gameplay, exponentially more fun when played with friends. Love being able to hit enemy bullets back at them. A very classy touch which I appreciate very much is the option to substitute blood effects with cherry blossom petals. I did buy the game when it was discounted to 89 cents, if that helps bring needed context for anyone reading, as the price-fun ratio could be different for you.
