I really love the fact I can add my own SCPs to it, and the game can be a little repeating but I still enjoy it.

SCP Strategy is an ambitious indie strategy title developed by LUXO Interactive and published by LUK KUS SOFT that attempts to translate the expansive and unsettling SCP universe into a top-down management and strategy experience. Rather than focusing on horror from a first-person perspective, the game places the player in a command role, overseeing an entire branch of the SCP Foundation. This shift in viewpoint fundamentally changes how the setting is experienced, emphasizing logistics, planning, and long-term decision-making over immediate fear, while still drawing heavily on the mystique and terminology of the source material. The core of SCP Strategy revolves around expanding and maintaining Foundation operations across the globe. Players dispatch Mobile Task Forces to investigate anomalous activity, secure SCP entities, and transport them to containment facilities for research. Each successful operation feeds into a broader progression loop, generating research points and unlocking new technologies, upgrades, and operational options. This creates a steady sense of growth, as your Foundation evolves from a small operation into a sprawling global organization. The game constantly asks players to balance expansion with stability, forcing difficult decisions about where to allocate limited resources and which opportunities are worth the risk. Strategic depth comes primarily from managing multiple interconnected systems at once. Establishing new sites, upgrading existing facilities, staffing personnel, and responding to unexpected events all demand attention. Random incidents such as containment breaches or emergency missions add pressure, preventing the experience from becoming entirely predictable. While the SCP entities themselves are often treated mechanically as assets that boost research or unlock progression, the constant threat of instability helps preserve some of the tension associated with the SCP universe. Success is rarely about a single correct choice, but about maintaining equilibrium across many competing priorities. To break up the high-level management, SCP Strategy introduces smaller interactive segments tied to research and tactical operations. These minigame-style interactions add moments of direct involvement, giving players brief windows of hands-on control amid the broader strategic flow. For some players, these moments help keep the experience engaging and varied; for others, they can feel repetitive or underdeveloped over longer play sessions. Their inclusion highlights the game’s attempt to avoid becoming a purely menu-driven simulation, even if the execution doesn’t always fully capitalize on the potential of these systems. Presentation in SCP Strategy is functional and restrained, favoring clarity over spectacle. The isometric viewpoint and clean interface make it easy to track operations, resources, and active events, which is essential given the number of systems in play. Visually, the game does not aim to evoke horror directly, instead presenting the SCP universe through abstract icons, maps, and facility layouts. Sound design is similarly subdued, reinforcing the idea that the player is operating from a command center rather than standing face-to-face with anomalies. This approach may feel sterile to players seeking atmosphere, but it aligns well with the game’s management-focused identity. One of the most debated aspects of SCP Strategy is its use of SCP lore. Fans of the universe will recognize many familiar references, names, and concepts, but the anomalies themselves often lack the unique behaviors or narrative weight they carry in written SCP entries. Instead of dramatically altering gameplay, many SCPs function as variations on research bonuses or progression milestones. While this abstraction makes the systems easier to manage and balance, it can also leave lore-focused players wishing for deeper, more distinctive interactions that better capture the individuality of each anomaly. Despite its limitations, the game benefits from continued development and post-launch updates that expand its content and refine its mechanics. Additional SCPs, events, and quality-of-life improvements have helped broaden its scope and improve replayability. This ongoing support demonstrates a clear commitment from the developers to improving the experience over time, even if some foundational design choices limit how immersive or narrative-rich the game can ultimately become. Overall, SCP Strategy is a niche but intriguing take on the SCP universe, offering a management-driven perspective that prioritizes systems and planning over direct horror. Its strengths lie in its layered progression, global strategy elements, and the satisfaction of building an efficient Foundation operation from the ground up. While it may not fully capture the eerie personality of individual SCPs or deliver deep narrative immersion, it provides a solid strategic sandbox for players who enjoy organizational management and are curious to experience the SCP setting from a command-level viewpoint rather than the front lines. 12 hours, 1 run, all achievements (that's constantly playing it). If you like to learn about SCP's while managing facilities, wealth, and military power while avoiding grasps from groups of interest, this is for you! Now it may be slow and the SCP's, or as they're shown in the game Object ###, they won't tell you the SCP name, but I did run into 106 on the way to 100% the game. It's slow, not too slow, enough to where you don't need to worry much, and don't think you're safe from GOI's with 100% relations either. I did enjoy the game and think other players would enjoy it too, it's gonna take a bit to get used to, expect failure & success, good luck.

I’m usually not a fan of strategy games, but SCP Strategy turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The game really drew me in despite my usual preference for fps and action titles. The SCP theme adds a lot of atmosphere, and I enjoyed how mysterious and engaging the setting was. The mechanics are straightforward enough to learn, but still provide depth once you get into them. For me, it was a great break from my usual gaming routine, almost like a change of pace that I didn’t know I needed. The strategy elements gave me a new type of challenge, and it was fun to see the SCP world presented in this style. I also really liked the overall design and how the game encourages planning ahead. That said, I feel the game could be even better with the addition of larger events, like wars, disasters, or other major scenarios that shake things up. Those kinds of challenges would make the experience more dynamic and unpredictable. Overall, I had a good time with SCP Strategy and would recommend it even to players who don’t normally enjoy this genre. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3571017039
