This game is basically the most heart filled love letter to a very specific type of game based on two very English stories merged together. If you are in the intersection of any of these things you'll love it, if you are at the epicenter of them ALL, then you'll feel spiritual enlightenment...and laughs, because the game has great ways to goof around in its dangerous sandbox. I bestow it with my might, and my strength and my love. This game rules, all the recent copy cat games I'm stick to death of seeing almost made me groan at this point. What a lovely game this truly is.
This game is a must buy for fans of the old EA Harry Potter PC games. Secret Agent Wizard Boy takes the janky magic of those early 2000's PC games and combines it with the chaotic gameplay of Goat Simulator. The result is a surrealist comedy like no other. I will caution would-be buyers that the game is still in early access and, as a result, not completely finished. However, I feel the content available at present justifies the $10 price tag. The multiplayer shenanigans alone are worth the price of admission. The pace of updates is solid, and there appears to be a clear direction for the game going forward. Wizard Boy's core systems are surprisingly deep, and they create a lot of room for experimentation (and nonsense... mostly nonsense).
Secret Agent Wizard Boy is deceptively simple; it is sandbox and immersive sim to the max. Any way you want to approach a challenge in this game, there's a spell for it, or there's a potion for it, or there's some item you can find or make somewhere for it. Absolutely nails the UE1 look as well, just an aesthetically successful and pleasing game. Don't think, just rush to buy the game now
