A Must-Play for Serious Shooter Fans Serious Sam Classics: Revolution is a unified Steam hub that bridges The First Encounter and The Second Encounter into one seamless, chaotic package. If you think you are good at FPS games but have somehow never played Serious Sam, you owe it to yourself to test your mettle here. The main novelty of this package is Bright Island, an exclusive 8-level bonus campaign. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite live up to the legacy of the main games. It feels largely unbalanced, suffers from pacing issues, and features massive encounters that drag on far too long compared to the tight, frantic design of Croteam's original levels. But even with a mediocre bonus campaign, the core package remains a truly hardcore, old-school first-person arena shooter that stands as an absolute must-play for every fan of the genre. Pros: Great level design with numerous secrets. Brutal gameplay and awesome arsenal. Enemy variety. Great soundtrack. Visual variety in levels with good graphics. Cons: Some enemy placement and arenas are very annoying. The new campaign is disappointing.

Best Serious Sam after Serious Sam 2! You get First and Second Encounter (SS1) in one version, and it works perfect, no bugs, better graphic (textures remain same as in original but better resolution) and it is cheap. Tested on Linux Mint, i finish first encounter in 13h and now will play second encounter.

Not only do you get a remaster of first two games along with a new chapter, but you also get original versions of first two games. Even a secret weapon would help a lot.

Whatever you do, don't play Bright Island campaign. It's not worth it, an overall lackluster, underwhelming, tedious and boring experience, save your sanity for something else. Great job on bringing everything else up to snuff and modernizing outdated features. A good way of playing classic versions of TFE/TSE on modern hardware, really missed those gravity gameplay bits in HD versions.
