If you somehow never played this game and you love first person shooters, give it a try! Serious Sam has a unique feel and look with a huge arsenal of fun to use weapons, a large variety of enemies and a collection of beautiful, bright and gigantic levels. It has a cool story, funny secrets and a sea of enemies. If you played the original before as I did, the HD version is the same game with much better visuals, but it is still the same game with minor changes to it. I basically didn't encounter any bugs and I enjoyed this version. The only thing that makes me sad that I love Achievement hunting and I love the Single Player of this game, but most of the Achievements are tied to Multiplayer which I don't enjoy, so I have to skip Completing this game. I recommend playing it!

A childhood classic for me, I still recall having the disc for it and playing it on my grandfather's boxy desktop computer. This game was magical to me as a kid and still lives up to how it felt playing it then. Good times.

This shit is awesome. Very low stakes, arcadey fun. Great linear, horde based levels. Lots of bullshit like enemies hidden around corners that jump out at you, enemies spawning behind you, walking down a dead end hallway and 50 enemies spawning behind you. But because the stakes are so low (you just respawn in place if you die) it feels more like a practical joke by the developers that you're in on. Lots of secrets, super interesting level design that is so different to modern day FPS games. The game started strong, got a bit gruelling and slow two thirds in, and then back up again during the final level. Overall some great fun, and not very long to play through.

The product of a bygone era. It's a fascinating experience, charmingly unrefined with passion deliberately and thoroughly spread throughout. It's by no modern standard incredible, but still captivating in how it decides to treat the player. Definitely not for everyone, but for those who aren't totally braindead and the capacity to appreciate imperfection, I recommend giving it a try.
