A disgrace of a remaster, as basically nothing has been remastered. There are no graphical options available that you'd find in any basic modern game. It looks and runs fucking terribly on the PC. The upvote is for the game, which is the same old campy, b-movie, over the top, insanity filled fun time; and because it runs and looks great on The Steam Deck, and I can recommend people to play it on that if they have one.

Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered is a wild, hilarious, and totally over-the-top ride straight from the brilliant minds of Suda51 and Shinji Mikami. It stays true to the original cult classic, keeping all the charm, crude humor, and stylish horror intact. The remaster tightens up the visuals and controls just enough without messing with the soul of the game. If you loved the original, or missed it the first time, then this is a hell of a good time.

I'm glad I don't have to play this game on a PS3 emulator anymore but I shouldn't have to run a python script to install mods to change settings that should be accessible in an in game menu. Come on Grasshopper, do better

One could criticize several aspects of the game, but despite seeing the flaws, I find myself not bothered by them at all, because playing this game was simply a fun experience. Games like these do not come out anymore, so this is a throwback to an age that's already passed and it made me quite nostalgic. Overall, I recommend it, because it was a pleasant change of pace from the overwhelmingly large and scarcely good games that come out nowadays.
