it's fun and epic, but EXTREMELY janky. I lost count how many times I almost gave up as my sword got stuck on an enemy instead of swording, or when climbing a behemoth and suddenly my hand starts spinning and I drop off of it, sending me back to the beginning of a long checkpoint. But I had a good experience overall, the sword and enemy design is really cool but I didn't like how it only encourages using the main sword and axe (for story purposes) and how the bow is almost completely useless. I would only recommend this game if you're well used to vr games and jank doesn't ruin your experience. But I don't think this should be in your first 10 vr games.
The game is fine....I didn't find it very special. I was very excited about this game from the first teasers...people saying it would be a HL Alyx killer...but is definitely not. The game can feel very janky at times. Sure it is fun for some things (the swinging especially) but for some others it felt like a chore (some climbing sections, some repetitive combat). I liked some epic boss fights and some views, but otherwise the game felt pretty lacking, both graphically and from the gameplay / story. Also in the dark scenes I could not see anything, and most of the time you cannot equip a torch. Even with brightness set to 100%. Still a must play since we don't really have many AA VR games, but I was not very impressed.
One of my favorite VR games A very good and fun VR game, I love games like this. Weapons are interesting, graphics look good, performance is smooth and gameplay is fun. I find the combat satisfying. The feeling when you take down an enemy using blade or your surroundings, deflect a weapon attack or when use your grappling hook to swing around is really fun! The Behemoth (boss) battles are really challenging as well! Seeing these gaints up close is so sick when fighting them. When you stand in front of them, you can see how enormous they really are, instead of just seeing them from a distance! The difference in size is clearly noticeable! (I got a bit of Attack on Titan vibes, while fighting them) I still have to finish the story, but so far I would give the game a score of 9/10 ! Oh yeah, I also threw a unaware NPC guy of a cliff because why not :3
