Let's be fair. It's an early access game. It's been coded by ONE PERSON. It has a lot of thigs to improve yet. Said this, let's review: My first impression wasn't that good. The models aren't that "wow". the planets are ok. The controls response, the menu, a lot of things is missing. The first word that came to my mind was "Refund". But then, why not to give it a try? Why not to support someone coding on huge game all by him (or her) self, as it apperas to me not only for the money, but the fun of it too? I really think that in the time to come, this game will become memorable. Today? Today is an incomplete game. but someone once said "I have a thing for children, dwarfs and broken things." If you expect a triple A game, don't buy Sirius online. If you expect a gem to run smooth and looking real in your 4k monitor, don't buy it. BUt, If you want to be part of something living, and support something that has a great chance of becoming an amazing experience, BUY IT!

The developer welcomed me with open arms as I got into the game. Crashed into a planet and got demolished by space pirates. The game has a good feel to it, it has massive potential. Support the project, devs are truly dedicated.

First, remember that this is Early Access. It's not complete, it crashes, it has exploits, it has bugs, it has issues. If you don't want to help make it better or want to spend you hard earned money on a finished product, don't buy this game. Also know that this game has everything going against it. A failed kickstarter, a single developer, and a game engine most people haven't heard of. This is reason enough to simply avoid buying it. I took a chance on it after hearing how involved the developer was - and every review that points this out is absolutely correct. Dex is on ALL. THE. TIME. If you want to see the developer ACTIVELY engaging players every day, getting feedback, revealing the short and long term plans, the ideas put into the game, then this is what you want. Dex is super involved and the community is supportive of new players. He has a Herculean work ethic, and that is why I'm glad to have bought the game - to support a developer who is passionate and consistent. As for the game itself, there isn't a lot to do. Blow up pirates, their hideouts, mine, PVP, complete missions, and explore around. Only 2 tiers of spaceships are available at this time. Combat feels soft, mining requires flying over chunks of asteroid to pick them up, and there's no customization to anything. The list is long and changing all the time. It's getting better, it's growing fast, and it's going to be a great product. Get in now and help!

!!! Important !!! Currently it is not yet a game to play (you can already do some things), it is ALPHA and you should be aware of this. Don't buy it, if you want to play immediately! Buy it if you want to support its development and if you want to play it in future! I say that, because reading the negativ reviews, it seems, that people do not understand, what early access stands for. After reading all reviews and every information about the game I decided to buy this game to support its development. The vision of this game, as I understand when reading about it, is exactly what I am looking for: a space sim with mostly player generated content. A really multiplayer experience in space. If it will be massively multiplayer can not yet be said as this is difficult and expensive to realise. But for the beginning, multiplayer would be enough, at least for me. It seems, that Sirius Online aims for the missing parts of Elite:Dangerous, namely depth. The PvE (Player versus Environment) of Elite:Dangerous is not enough content on a longer time scale. EVE Online is to much spreadsheet and not enough active action. Sirius Online can be the middle course in between and thats what I am hoping for. The current client is already very good to handle. Its easy to fly around and controls seems to be on a good balance. Flying around is already fun. Mining is also possible, according to other reviews, but I didn't try. So, the game now has a good base to build the system on top of it and fill everything with the game mechanics. Graphics and sounds are fine too but not yet on a current state of the art but promissing. When you start the game, be prepared that the developer is somewhere around and talks to you. Giving input or asking questions directly to the developer is very nice and not very often seen. But if this game gains momentum it will be more difficult for him, to be accessible like that. So don't expect this in future. Conclusion: Promissing game idea and a sound base already available, but yet a lot of things to do. Buy it to help the developer to make it real. To the developer: Great game, exceptional endurance. Stay on this path and we will be with you. Maybe you should consider to bring some more people into your development. Rex

First and foremost, I AM RUNNING UBUNTU 14.04. Secondly, YOU WILL BE CONFUSED WHEN YOU GET IN GAME Lastly, I know I don't have very much playtime, but i've done as much as I could bear before I looked for all the share buttons. Although still in very early access, I would give this an easy 7/10 so far, 3 deducted for lack of players and the obvious repetitious grind for that next ship. For a game made by only 1 person, this is just outstanding. Running soooooo much better than any company built game, absolutely no hiccups, tearing visuals, or glitches that i've found. I'm not adding in everything, because SPOILERS. DO NOT SPOILER THIS GAME. IT WILL RUIN IT. (How about just enough to get you slightly ready >:3 ) Pros: OPEN FUCKING SPACE DUDE. DO YOU EVEN TRAVEL? SPPPPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE Safe Area in the first spot to 'mine'. You take 0 damage (however, the short flight there you can get hit.) No steering while HSD is active. This makes absolute sense <3 cancel at any time Market. It may not look like much yet, but there's so much potential. THE EXPLOSIONS. Same explosion, same burst of joy :D Death. Whelp, that ship was fun while it lasted. 1 ship is always free c: Jump right in with absolutely NO IDEA WHAT ANYTHING DOES! I love this one. The game was built for you to EXPLORE EVERYTHING, so that means you're relying on your own intellect and common sense. This will surely keep anyone entertained as long as they have the patience. *The dev does reply when you send him messages. It's an awesome feeling when a dev replies.* *HSD activation leaves a signal behind for a brief moment* Cons: Hud layout. (Might be because of linux) Constantly wondering what to do next. If there's a ship selection, I haven't found it, only the buy button. Therefor: Buy ship, you're flying that ship. Lack of options. No volume adjust. No bulk-buy option for the game. *Seeing the price, should be at least a 4 pack :3 )* *You can get lost* (PROTIP: Drop a beacon before you head out. The button above the settings on the left hand screen tells you how)* *Lack of players* EDITS ARE IN ** Removed from cons + how they are fixed: Notification bar overlaps every button in the bottom right corner of the market. I haz a sad. (HIT THE BACKSPACE BUTTON. IT TRULY HELPS) _______________________ I will be constantly adding/removing/changing upon each update, as I will be devoting time into this. This is more than worth the discounted price I got it at. Once you get the jist of what the game is literally telling you what to do, GET OUT THERE AND BLAZE YOUR OWN RIPPLES THROUGH SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE
