game is bad without mods. i rate it 2/5 game is dog shet without mods, IF I COULD GET A REFUND I WOULD. skate 4 is coming soon rather wait for that then play this shet. im using rpcs3 to play skate 3 YOU SHOULD TOO!! THANKS FOR LOOKING GAME IS HORRIBLE FUK THA DEVELOPERS.

Rating 7.77/10 I’ve been playing Skater XL since the beta yeaaars ago, and man, this game had so much promise. As someone who skates in real life, I was stoked when I first picked it up—the skating felt more real than anything else on the market, and the control over tricks was exactly what I’d been wanting. The open-world vibe and realistic physics were a breath of fresh air for a skating game. But here we are, and while it still has potential, it really needs some TLC. The game feels like it’s still in the "could-be-great" phase, with awesome physics and smooth controls but not much else. The maps feel limited, there’s not much progression or variety, and some of the glitches and bugs can really take you out of the experience. As much as I love the feel of skating in the game, it’s hard not to feel like it’s been left on the shelf. I still play it because I genuinely enjoy the skateboarding in it, but it’s like an old board that’s been sitting in the garage for too long—it’s got potential, but it just needs a little more attention. More maps, more features, and less random bugs would make this something special. I’m still rooting for it, but come on, Skater XL—give us that extra push to get us fully stoked.

This game in general in fricken sweet. No other skateboarding game even compares to the way this game feels, you can develop your own style, add steez to your tricks and all around pick and choose how you want the game to feel. That being said i think its absolutely ridiculous how little this game has progressed in the time its been around. I've owned and played this game for a long time, and the only thing they've seem to change in this game is different maps, edit skater option and the replay ability. I would give up all of those for just a chance to not have terrible ramp collision, and glitchy ass ground physics. its insane this game has been out for as long as it has and you can barely go up a ramp without glitching out. WITHOUT MODS THIS GAME WOULD BE A HARD BAD REVIEW! THE MODS ARE WHAT SAVE THIS GAME BECAUSE THEY ENHANCE THE PHYSICS AND MAKE THE GAME PLAYABLE! NOT ONLY THAT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF MOD MAPS 100 TIMES BETTER THAN THE BASE GAME. IF YOU ARE NOT USING MODS YOU ARE MISSING OUT MASSIVELY! DEVS HOW ABOUT YOU WORK ON THE GAME ALREADY?

It's fun as hell and mods are pretty decent for it. I haven't played in a while and decided to try out the new map, it blows and don't expect this game to get anything new anytime soon. It took them forever to add grabs and I had much better grabs sooner just by modding the game. I love this game but it's one where mods are almost necessary if you want to do anything "cool" but this is a pretty good game to d*ck around carelessly in.
