Core or Poser: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Remake. Gameplay: Tight, responsive, and smooth. You can string together combos very easily. It’s arcade skateboarding turned up to 11, just like the originals. it’s all about fun and flow. Vibe: The soundtrack is legendary, packed with classics from the OG games alongside some modern additions. Personally, I’m not a fan of the newer tracks, but they still fit the overall vibe and energy of the game. Core Check: This game gets massive points for keeping the real pros and legit brands. Birdhouse (Obviously), Baker, DGK, Lakai, Indy and so on. It celebrates skateboarding as a lifestyle and subculture. Verdict: CORE! 9/10
