Takes awhile for the action to start. As It takes a good while for u to get all the computers set up with the software. But once the final act begins. It doesn't let down. The reveal of the killers great and the game In general had a really solid atmosphere and fun characters. Another W from toture star.
kinFreak blew me away from the moment I started playing. The gameplay is incredibly intense and constantly rewarding. The devs nailed the balance between challenge and fun, the jump scares got me everytime. The visuals are unique, perfectly fitting the game’s atmosphere. The attention to detail in the sound design really shows how much care went into making this. Plus, the progression genuinely makes the storyline thrilling rather than grindy. Performance-wise, it runs super smoothly and feels well-optimized. If you’re even thinking about trying Skin Freak, do yourself a favour — get it. You won’t regret it. 10/10
Skinfreak is a tense, atmospheric horror experience that really delivers. The visuals, sounds and detail to the even small side story lines are pretty cool. I knew it was gonna be a good game because Black eyed preists and puppet combo DO NOT MISS. If you like a slow burn, unsettling, strange with dark humor...This game is worth your time
A compelling sense of mounting dread and great use of a singular location star here, alongside the titular Skinfreak, in a game that cements Torture Star as the king of indie B-horror, and Black Eyed Priest as one of the best developers carrying that mantle. These games have always been small, scrappy, brutish, ugly, and proud of it, and Skinfreak continues that tradition in much the same way as previous titles. But it's done with the flair and confidence of people who have spent years honing the art of interactive exploitation. You already know whether or not you like these sort of games, and if you do then I'd say Skinfreak is a great showing of everything you crave. The environments are jagged and polygonal. Vibrant colors bleed out of light sources like Argento's own blood. Death comes loud and violent. And in the absence of death, there is only silence, the buzz of fluorescent lights, and a parade of vaguely farcical obstacles to your character's goal. The atmosphere is thick, the scares are jarring, the puzzles tickle your brain, the characters turn your stomach, and the story keeps you interested enough to press on through the ever-present threat of loud jumpscares and horrifying face textures. An absolute top-tier piece of trash, and a great way to spend an October evening.
