Great game, like it a lot, except vehicle. The vehicle levels are bad. And I wish there is something to show how many secrets level have on the mission map.

Fun little sidescrolling platformer/shoot em up that can be knocked out in one sitting. There is a fair amount of player choice with your loadout choosing a primary weapon and a tactical item (grenades, throwing knives, etc) and the difficulty hit that sweetspot where it is challenging but not frustrating. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a short fun arcadey experience.

Soda Crisis, developed by Team Soda and published by bilibili, is a vibrant and fast-paced side-scrolling shooter that skillfully blends run-and-gun mechanics with platforming elements to create an engaging and energetic gameplay experience. From the outset, the game captures your attention with its sleek sci-fi aesthetic and fluid movement, placing you in control of a mysterious, high-tech combatant on a mission that quickly escalates into a fight for survival. Though the narrative isn’t the primary focus, it provides enough context to propel you through a series of diverse levels filled with a wide array of enemies, environmental hazards, and platforming challenges that keep each stage fresh and compelling. What makes Soda Crisis stand out is its polished gameplay loop that balances accessibility with depth. Combat feels smooth and responsive, with a variety of weapons and upgrade options allowing players to tailor their approach to different situations. Whether you prefer rapid-fire assaults or more strategic, precision shooting, the arsenal adapts well to different playstyles. The game also rewards exploration and skillful play with collectibles and hidden cartridges, which introduce mini-games and additional content, broadening the replayability beyond the core campaign. These elements add layers of variety without overwhelming players, making it appealing for both newcomers and veterans of the genre. The level design further supports the game's dynamic pacing. Each environment is carefully crafted with vibrant colors and detailed backdrops that emphasize the futuristic, cyberpunk-inspired world of Soda Crisis. The platforming sections require precise timing and quick reflexes, often mixed with combat scenarios that demand multitasking under pressure. The visual style is bright and cartoonish, yet polished enough to maintain a modern edge, making the action visually satisfying. Accompanying the gameplay is an energetic electronic soundtrack that perfectly matches the pace, enhancing the intensity and keeping players engaged throughout the experience. Despite its many strengths, Soda Crisis does have a few drawbacks. Some players have noted that while the core mechanics are solid, the game can occasionally feel repetitive, especially in later stages where enemy types and level layouts become more predictable. Additionally, the storyline, while serviceable, lacks the depth and complexity that might elevate the game to another level of narrative immersion. However, these shortcomings do little to detract from the overall enjoyment, as the core gameplay remains compelling and fun. In summary, Soda Crisis delivers a thrilling and colorful run-and-gun experience that effectively combines fast-paced combat, precise platforming, and a visually striking sci-fi world. Its accessible yet deep gameplay systems, variety of weapons and upgrades, and engaging level design make it a standout title for fans of side-scrolling shooters. While it could benefit from more narrative depth and increased variety in later stages, the game’s polished execution and energetic presentation ensure that players will find plenty to enjoy and return to in this vibrant shooter. Rating: 9/10

Great art, graphics and animation. The control is responsive but the gameplay and level design is just boring and unsatisfying. It's werid that such a responsive control doesn't make it a satisfying action game...The level design has serious issues. I tried to like it but I couldn't stand it anymore after playing for an hour. Still giving it a thumbs up for the responsive control and graphics.
