Bought on principal because of the developer's moral acumen; staying because it's fun! Kind of a mashup of Dwarf Fortress, Crusader Kings, and an old-school RPG. Definitely worth checking out, it is being updated and I imagine it will only get better.

I've always chased the feeling that runescape gave me as a kid, and this is the first game that's delivered. Quite honestly one of the best games I've played in a very long time. The game offers a vast randomly generated world that continues to grow and revolve with or without you, a huge variety of skills and a huge range of abilities within those skills. Almost infinte possiblities and amazing fun. 68 hours in as I'm writing this review and I'm not even slightly bored, and just excited to play more. Developer is a lovely hardworking guy and is very involved in the community. Since buying the game I've seen weekly updates and complete transparency about development. Would 100% recommend to people who like the idea of a vast open world where you can play as your own completely unique character, adventure, create a lineage, create a unique build, get unique items, create and manage settlements if you want to. Great game.

So far so good. Dev puts out weekly updates and the game is already really fun. So long as a solid 10 or so more "POI"s get added I'd consider it ready for 1.0. Basically it's Dwarf Fortress Adventure mode, but fun and accessible rather than awkward and impenetrable.

3 hours in and I absolutely love this game. Its a game I always wanted. Maybe down the road we could have characters instead of pictures of the character. Regardless, this game is epic. 10/10 highly recommend getting this game. This is how early access is meant to be. There's a lot of depth to this game and I look forward to many many hours in this game!
